Then, they went to where the Blessed One was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and then sat down on one side. Most of those householders, along with their servants, had truly entered the Mahayana, generated roots of virtue, and were completely determined to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Then, the householder Fierce One, knowing that his great retinue had gathered, rose from his seat by the power of the Blessed One, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined together towards where the Blessed One was, said to the Blessed One: If the Blessed One would grant me the opportunity to ask questions for the sake of requesting and receiving prophecies, then I would ask the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, some questions. After saying this, the Blessed One said to the householder Fierce One: Householder, the Tathagata always grants you the opportunity to ask. Householder, ask the Tathagata whatever you wish, and I will satisfy your mind with the prophecies of your questions. After saying this, the householder Fierce One said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, whether it be a son or daughter of good family, if they have generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, have faith in the Mahayana, abide in the Mahayana, wish to truly practice the Mahayana, wish to enter the Mahayana, vow to the Mahayana, care for all sentient beings, relieve all sentient beings, put on armor for the sake of protecting all sentient beings, liberate those who have not crossed over, liberate those who have not been liberated, comfort those who have not been comforted, and cause those who have not completely been freed from suffering to be completely freed from suffering, thus taking on great responsibilities for the benefit of all sentient beings, abiding in great undertakings, and having heard of the immeasurable wisdom of the Buddha, put on armor for the sake of truly accomplishing that wisdom, and also samsara
