Thus, there is no anger or resentment in the mind. Because of constantly practicing patience, one can attain enlightenment. For beings without virtuous minds, acting as a lamp in the world, as protector and refuge, making those without wealth possess wealth. For beings who practice wrong paths, because they are objects of compassion, after I completely embrace them, I think of placing them in peace. Because all beings are degenerated and do not possess the wealth of wisdom, after I obtain omniscience, I think of satisfying them. Thus, Bodhisattvas, in order to completely embrace beings, when generating Bodhicitta and seeking Bodhi, they make such aspirations. The Blessed One spoke to the Venerable Maitreya's son thus: Bodhisattva Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to beings through various causes and conditions, but they do not cling to any Dharma. Why is that? Because Bodhisattvas truly practice all Dharmas, and then they will manifest perfect enlightenment. Bodhisattvas possess four rare and wonderful things, so they do not think that there are other Dharmas more excellent than these things. What are the four? Bodhisattvas diligently encourage lazy beings, which is called the first rare thing. Practicing patience among beings with strong anger is called the second rare and wonderful thing. Seeing beings practicing wrong paths, one strives on the right path, which is called a rare and wonderful thing. In order to completely liberate beings from Samsara, generating the unsurpassed perfect Bodhicitta with superior intention is called a rare and wonderful thing. Kangpo, these four rare and wonderful things are called the supreme rare and wonderful things of Bodhisattvas. Thereafter, the Blessed One spoke in verses: Seeing lazy beings

Through diligence, the mind is generated, I do not think of showing them non-dharmic things, I do not show anger, because anger is not the path to Buddhahood. By constantly cultivating loving-kindness, Bodhi arises from it. Sentient beings are attached to wrong paths, abiding in evil ways. Seek the right path of the Bodhisattva, and establish it in your mind. Seeing the faults of samsara, seek the wisdom of the Buddha with one mind, and the supreme treasure will be obtained. Think that sentient beings should be tamed, among these wonderful things, there is no one superior to them. Thus, it should be known that unobstructed Dharma will be obtained. The clothes on the body are like burning, the top of the head is like a blazing fire. If a mind of laziness arises, it should be quickly eliminated. The Bhagavan said: Whichever Bodhisattva possesses four qualities, a joyful mind will arise. What are the four? Seeing sentient beings dwelling in samsara, not making effort, while oneself dwells on the path to Buddhahood, making effort, therefore a joyful mind arises. Seeing sentient beings constantly lazy, while oneself dwells in the Buddha's teachings, making effort, therefore a joyful mind arises. Seeing sentient beings angry, resentful, and jealous, while oneself is without anger, resentment, and jealousy, constantly possessing a mind of loving-kindness, therefore a joyful mind arises. Seeing that in manifestly accomplishing the Buddha's Dharma with diligence, no one else is equal to oneself, therefore a joyful mind arises. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke in verse: Seeing sentient beings lazy, oneself making effort, therefore that Bodhisattva, will obtain a joyful mind. Seeing the faults of samsara, a mind of weariness arises greatly. Fearing the prison of the three realms, one abandons it with a mind of diligence. Sentient beings delight in anger and resentment, oneself abides in loving-kindness.
