The single term is the term 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). All dharmas are a single expression, expressed by 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). O Blessed One, those dharmas that are unborn, we shall realize them. Those dharmas that have not arisen, we shall realize them as being without substance. Those dharmas that are unestablished, we shall realize them as being unestablished. Those dharmas that are unceased, we shall realize them as being without cessation. O Blessed One, those dharmas that have not been manifestly assembled, we shall realize them as being unassembled. That is the nature of all dharmas. O Blessed One, how should we realize the terms for those dharmas that are unborn? It is like this: for example, in a dream, various actions occur, similarly, we should view all dharmas. Why is that? O Blessed One, the actions in a dream are unborn, unarisen, and without substance, yet you have said that they can be designated. Similarly, we should also seek the actions of all dharmas. O Blessed One, it is like this: for example, there are no terms in an echo, similarly, we should view the terms of all dharmas. O Blessed One, it is like this: for example, there is no designation for a magical person, similarly, we should view the designations of all dharmas. O Blessed One, it is like this: for example, there is a term designating water in a mirage, similarly, we should view the terms of all dharmas. O Blessed One, it is like this: for example, in the center of a mirror, there is a term for the form of a woman or the form of a man, similarly, we should view the terms of all dharmas. O Blessed One, for the sake of making children happy, we name the actions in a dream, but those actions in a dream do not exist. O Blessed One, similarly, for the sake of making children happy, we also name the actions of optical illusions, mirages, and echoes, but there are no actions in an echo. O Blessed One, thus, we seek the meaning spoken by the Blessed One. O Blessed One, this is the samadhi called the appearance of all dharmas. Having said this, the gods of clear light praised the Blessed One with verses:

Sugata, you know one principle, but you speak of it in different ways. The able ones, the sons of the wise in the world, also manifest in various ways like that. But those in the world who are without wisdom and who view things as self cannot comprehend this. My meaning is not in the ten directions; the self-nature is empty of beings. Like a mirage and a collection of illusions, there is no water, but there is the perception of water. Those children are confused in the same way, mistaking it for self. Those who do not understand reality, the unwise, understand even when relying on things that are not places. Likewise, childish beings do not understand the aggregates, which are like a mirage. Those who delight in samsara are pierced by thorns, and their senses are cut off by that suffering. Those who are certainly ignorant of what they experience as suffering, for them there is no reality. Those who have lost their minds, whose minds are confused, who mistake suffering for happiness, Afflictions, fears, and the three poisons also follow and pursue them. Attachment, hatred, and delusion, the great poisons, unequaled afflictions, follow and pursue them. Those who have lost their minds, with whatever suffering becomes the suffering of suffering, Those who follow them, childish and unwise, also carry the burden of harm. When they hear this door to the Victorious One's principle, the emptiness that brings liberation, Those evil beings, those of weak intelligence, are frightened by the very doctrine of happiness. Sugata, you have thus shown the great principle, the one door of the letter A. In that, those with true intelligence generate faith, like a tree growing from karma. They subdue hundreds of millions of demons with their armies and manifestly awaken to peaceful enlightenment. With the boat of the eightfold path, they liberate beings from the great ocean of afflictions. The Sugatas, the all-knowing determiners, are the supreme ones of that principle. Quickly eliminating the poison of afflictions, they will attain immeasurable enlightenment and peace. Having been liberated and become free from poison, having attained the wisdom of seeing other beings with certainty, They quickly go to the other shore, free from poison, happy, and perfect in all virtues. Sugatas, all are empty, but those who conceive of self do not understand principle and non-principle. Among all beings, the wise ones are those who have learned principle and non-principle well. Having been liberated, they have no attachment to all beings, and their minds are the nature of dharma. Those who see that principle, those who are skilled in principle, become great protectors. Without bonds and bondage, the Sugata's dharmas
