Chapter 20: The Prophecy of Brahma Chapter 20: The Prophecy of Brahma Then, sixty kotis of gods from the Brahma realm, from the Asuras up to the gods of the Paranirmita-vasavartin realm, having seen the offerings and heard the prophecies, were satisfied, content, and delighted. Having generated great joy and happiness and ease of mind, because of having accumulated roots of virtue in the past, and having revered the Buddhas of the past, and because of the complete purity of their minds, they developed a dislike for worldly meditation, and they gained insight into the teachings of the Tathagata. Having attained tolerance of the profound Dharma, they came to know that all phenomena are neither done nor undone. Likewise, neither born nor unborn; neither arisen nor unarisen; neither ceased nor unceased; neither abiding nor non-abiding; neither completely afflicted nor completely purified; neither attached nor angry; neither deluded nor undeluded; neither knowing nor unknowing; neither existent nor nonexistent; neither object nor non-object; neither going nor not going; neither coming nor not coming; neither gone nor not gone; neither empty nor not empty; neither with characteristics nor without characteristics; neither with aspiration nor without aspiration; neither without aspiration. They came to know in this way. With minds that do not abide in all phenomena, they do not abide in names, do not abide in concepts, do not abide in speech. They are not conceptualizers of speech, nor are they conceptualizers of the unspeakable; they are not conceptualizers of action, nor are they conceptualizers of inaction; they are not conceptualizers of ordinary beings, nor are they conceptualizers of non-ordinary beings; they are not conceptualizers of the Dharma of ordinary beings, nor are they conceptualizers of the Dharma of non-ordinary beings; they are not conceptualizers of Shravakas, nor are they conceptualizers of non-Shravakas; they are not con
