Nor is there. Nor is there clinging to the cessation of all afflictions. For one who understands emptiness, there is no removal of non-virtue, nor is there clinging to virtue. For one who understands emptiness, there is no removal of faults, nor is there clinging to faultlessness. As before, everything should be explained in detail. For one who understands emptiness, there is no removal of samsara, nor is there clinging to nirvana. Whoever is patient with this is called supremely patient. Whatever is unborn, unproduced, unarisen, has not become arisen, there is no arising whatsoever. Because there is no arising, it is inexhaustible. Whatever is inexhaustible is supremely patient. Whatever is neither conditioned nor unconditioned, nor is there clinging. Not abandoned, not increased, not truly increased, not accumulated, not decreased, there is no birth whatsoever. Whatever is unborn is inexhaustible. Whoever is patient in this way is called patient with the unborn. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses such patience practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Shariputra, this is the perfection of patience of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who enters this path practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and is unconquerable by the sons of gods of Mara and the hosts of Mara, and by all other opponents. The chapter called "Perfection of Patience" is the eighth. The eighth, "The Chapter on the Perfection of Patience."
