Sugata, we beseech you to protect us. We are harmed! We are greatly harmed! We are trembling! Bhagavan, I declare: Friends, do not fear! Do not fear! The realm of these secret mantras blessed by the Tathagata is as follows: This great earth is shaking violently, the great ocean is turbulent, and you are also in the sky, shaking violently. Then, in the courtyard of the retinue of the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, the Bhagavan extensively taught the Dharma in such a way that eighty hundred thousand beings generated the mind of enlightenment, and immeasurable beings took up the places of learning. Ninth chapter. Then, the son of the Lord of Secrets, Vajra Group, covered the Bhagavan with a net of jewels and said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, how does a Bodhisattva become one who does not turn back from the Dharma in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, a Bodhisattva, a great being, who possesses ten qualities will become one who does not turn back from the Dharma in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. What are the ten? They are: great love without anger, great compassion without ever being discouraged, diligence that makes all endeavors seem insignificant, samadhi that practices emptiness, wisdom that directly realizes, skillfulness that follows all, wisdom that purifies the three times, the practice of seeing the truth without obscuration, emptiness that possesses all supreme aspects, and entering the path that is completely pure as it is. Young man, if a Bodhisattva possesses these ten qualities, he will become one who does not turn back from the Dharma in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The son of the Lord of Secrets, Vajra Group, again said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, how does a Bodhisattva not be alarmed, not be afraid, and not be frightened when he hears of the inconceivable Dharma of the Buddha?
