The Great Sutra called "The Wonderfully Vast and Profound Sutra of All Buddhas," Volume Seven. Then, again, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra spoke to those Bodhisattvas, "O sons of the Victorious Ones, this is just a slight mention, aimed at the perfectly complete Buddhas, according to the capacity of sentient beings. Why is that? O sons of the Victorious Ones, because unskilled sentient beings are oppressed by regret, manifestly attached to self and what belongs to self, extremely attached to the aggregates of existence, utterly relying on perverted views, deeply immersed in doubt, arising from the complete conceptualization of wrong views, obscured by ignorance, immersed in the continuum of samsara, for the sake of those who do not possess the path of the Thus-Gone Ones. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, appear in the world. O sons of the Victorious Ones, it is like this: I have not seen any fault greater than a Bodhisattva merely generating hatred towards others. Why is that? O sons of the Victorious Ones, a Bodhisattva who generates anger towards others will completely hold these one hundred ten-million doors of obscured Dharma. What are the one hundred ten-millions? It is like this: the Bodhisattva will hold not seeing (the Buddha). He will hold not hearing the Dharma. He will hold being born in suffering again and again in the world realms. He will hold abiding in the lower realms. He will hold being born without leisure. He will hold having many diseases. He will hold receiving many slanders. He will hold having an unclear nature. He will hold being forgetful. He will hold having little intelligence. He will hold the obscuration of the eyes. He will hold the obscuration of the ears. He will hold the obscuration of the nose. He will hold the obscuration of the tongue. He will hold the obscuration of the body. He will hold the obscuration of the mind. He will hold evil spiritual friends. He will hold evil companions. He will hold being mixed with inferior vehicles. Lowly people.

Will hold on to being discouraged from the irreversible task of the Bodhisattva's great diligence. Will hold on to the distraction of not attaining samadhi. Will hold on to the wrong wisdom, which is the opposite of the Perfection of Wisdom. Will hold on to being unskilled in what is and is not. Will hold on to being unskilled in the means for sentient beings. Will hold on to not discriminating the wisdom of the Bodhisattva. Will hold on to not understanding the arising of the Bodhisattva's Dharma. Will hold on to being like a blind person who cannot accomplish the ten boundless eyes of the Bodhisattva. Because one does not understand the lineage of the words of others, will hold on to the obstruction of the tongue. Because of hating other beings, will hold on to the obstruction of karma. Because one will obtain a mad mind, will hold on to the obstruction of the mind. Because one does not possess the three vows, will hold on to the obstruction of karma.
