Those who have faith even in the Hearer Vehicle, Are rare in all the world, Therefore, having faith in the Solitary Realizer Vehicle is even rarer. Having faith in the Great Vehicle is even rarer than that. There is no one who has entered this Great Vehicle, Having faith in such a Dharma is extremely rare. What need to mention upholding and spreading it? What need to mention entering it correctly and without error? Even if some were to hold and carry on their heads for an eon, The three thousand worlds with mountains and oceans, Compared to having faith in such a Dharma, That would not be considered difficult. Even if some were to attend to and honor for an eon, All sentient beings as numerous as dust motes in the three thousand worlds with all pleasures, The merit obtained would not be like having faith and devotion in such a Dharma. Even if some were to hold the ten directions of lands with mountains and oceans, In the palms of their hands in the expanse of space, Compared to having faith and devotion in such a Dharma, There would not be such difficulty. Even if some were to attend to and honor for an eon, Sentient beings as numerous as dust motes in the ten directions of lands with all pleasures, Compared to having faith and devotion in such a Dharma, The merit would not be the same. Even if some were to attend to and honor for an eon, Buddhas as numerous as dust motes in the ten directions of lands with all pleasures, If some were to completely hold this chapter, Then this merit would be far superior to that. When those liberations are fully shown, All the fields of the ten directions will tremble.
