May I know that they are not born in the lower realms, may I know that they are born in the heavens. For what reason is this? It is because these sons or daughters of good family rejoice in the immeasurable and countless roots of virtue of sentient beings, for the sake of making all sentient beings happy. World Honored One, whoever generates the aspiration and rejoices in the mind generation of those individuals who are of the Bodhisattva vehicle, those mind generations will also increase, thereby attaining the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. They will also, having attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, having perfectly awakened as Buddhas, completely liberate immeasurable and countless sentient beings from suffering. The World Honored One said: Kauśika, by the power of the Tathāgata, what you have said is so, it is so. Kauśika, whichever son or daughter of good family rejoices in the mind generation of those individuals of the Bodhisattva vehicle, Kauśika, in this way, that son or daughter of good family, having rejoiced in the mind generation of those individuals of the Bodhisattva vehicle, will rejoice in, generate, and accomplish the roots of virtue of immeasurable and countless sentient beings. Subhūti said: World Honored One, how can the mind, which is like an illusion, perfectly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Having thus spoken, the World Honored One said to the venerable Subhūti: Subhūti, what do you think? Do you truly see the mind as being like an illusion? Subhūti said: World Honored One, it is not so. The World Honored One said: Subhūti, what do you think? Do you truly see illusion? Subhūti said: World Honored One, it is not so, World Honored One, I do not truly see the mind as being like an illusion, nor illusion itself. The World Honored One said: Subhūti, this

Do you think that if you have not rightly seen illusion-like mind and mind-like illusion, can you rightly see the Dharma that perfectly and completely awakens to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment other than illusion or mind-like illusion? The venerable Subhuti replied: "No, Blessed One. Blessed One, I do not see any Dharma other than illusion or mind-like illusion that can perfectly and completely awaken to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Blessed One, if I do not see that Dharma other than illusion or mind-like illusion, how can I say it exists? How can I say it does not exist? I cannot understand whether that extremely serene Dharma exists or does not exist. That extremely serene Dharma cannot perfectly and completely awaken to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Why? Blessed One, no Dharma can perfectly and completely awaken to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Blessed One, therefore, the Prajnaparamita is extremely serene. That extremely serene Dharma is not to be cultivated, it is neither attainable nor abandonable. Blessed One, how can a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, relying on the extremely serene Prajnaparamita, perfectly and completely awaken to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Blessed One, the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is also extremely serene. Blessed One, if the Prajnaparamita is extremely serene, and the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is also extremely serene, Blessed One, how can serenity perfectly and completely awaken to serenity?" Having spoken thus, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, well done! Well done! Subhuti, it is so! It is so! Subhuti, the Prajnaparamita is extremely serene. The unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is also extremely

It is extremely secluded. Subhuti, because the Perfection of Wisdom is extremely secluded, the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment is also extremely secluded and realized. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva correctly knows that the Perfection of Wisdom is extremely secluded, then that is not the Perfection of Wisdom. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva relies on the Perfection of Wisdom to realize Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. Subhuti, there is also no realization of Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment by relying on the Perfection of Wisdom. Although one realizes seclusion with seclusion, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva realizes Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment, but also does not realize it by relying on the Perfection of Wisdom as a path. Subhuti asked: World-Honored One, as I understand the meaning of what the World-Honored One has said, World-Honored One, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices in profound meaning. The World-Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices in profound meaning. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices in profound meaning, and does not realize that meaning like a Hearer or a Solitary Buddha, that is doing something difficult. Subhuti asked: World-Honored One, as I understand the meaning of what the World-Honored One has said, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not doing something difficult. What is the reason for this? World-Honored One, because in this way, the Dharma to be realized is also unattainable, the Dharma that can be realized is also unattainable, and the Dharma by which one realizes is also unattainable. World-Honored One, if it is said in this way, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not afraid, does not shrink back, is not afraid at all, the mind does not turn back, and is not alarmed.
