Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is indeed omniscience." The Blessed One said: "It is so, Shariputra, it is as you say." Shariputra said: "Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is what makes things clear. Blessed One, I pay homage to the Perfection of Wisdom!

Then, the Perfection of Wisdom does not create all phenomena. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom leads beings who are on the wrong path onto the path. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is omniscience itself. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom does not generate all phenomena in order to abandon all the predispositions and continuations of afflictions and cognitive obscurations. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom does not cease all phenomena. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is unborn and unceasing. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is the mother of Bodhisattva Mahasattvas for the sake of its own nature of emptiness. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom performs the ten powers in order to bestow all precious Buddha Dharmas. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is unconquerable in order to perform the four fearlessnesses. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom acts as a protector for beings who have no protector. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is the antidote to samsara because it does not abide permanently. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom shows the nature of all phenomena. Oh Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is the complete turning of the Dharma wheel three times in twelve aspects by the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. Oh Blessed One, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the Perfection of Wisdom? Oh Blessed One, how should one attend to the Perfection of Wisdom? Oh Blessed One, how should one pay homage to the Perfection of Wisdom? After asking this, the Blessed One spoke to the venerable Shariputra as follows: Shariputra, one should abide in the Perfection of Wisdom as one sees the teacher. Shariputra, one should attend to the Perfection of Wisdom as one sees the teacher. Shari

The son of how the teacher is, so should one pay homage to the Prajñāpāramitā. Then, The lord of the gods, Indra, thought to himself: Alas, why does the noble Śāriputra ask this? Alas, on what basis does the noble Śāriputra ask this? Thus he thought. Then the lord of the gods, Indra, said to the venerable Śāriputra: Noble Śāriputra, why do you ask this? Noble Śāriputra, on what basis do you ask this? When he had spoken thus, the venerable Śāriputra said to the lord of the gods, Indra: Kauśika, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva who is completely grasped by the skillful means of the Prajñāpāramitā, rejoices in the merit of all things, and completely dedicates it to omniscience. The merit arising from the giving of all those former Bodhisattvas with characteristics, and that arising from morality, and that arising from patience, and that arising from diligence, and that arising from meditation, all those merits that are accumulated, all those are overwhelmed. Therefore, I ask this based on this. Kauśika, moreover, because all five perfections enter the path of omniscience, the Prajñāpāramitā itself is the forerunner. Kauśika, it is like this, for example, if there are a hundred or a thousand or a hundred thousand blind people, without a guide there is no chance to enter the path, and there is no chance to go to a village or a city or a town. Kauśika, similarly, giving and morality and patience and diligence and meditation, being separated from the Prajñāpāramitā, do not obtain the name of perfection and become blind, because there is no guide, so there is no chance to enter the path of omniscience, and how can one enter or attain the great city of omniscience? Kauśika, also, when giving and morality and patience and diligence and meditation all
