They thought to themselves: This venerable Subhuti is clarifying this Prajnaparamita. He is thus explaining the profound Prajnaparamita and showing it in a very subtle way. Then, the venerable Subhuti, with his mind, examined the minds of those gods, and said these words to those gods: Gods, form is not profound, nor is it subtle. Likewise, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are not profound, nor are they subtle. The intrinsic nature of form is not profound, nor is it subtle. Likewise, the intrinsic nature of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness is not profound, nor is it subtle. Likewise, combine as before. As shown in the aggregates, so too should it be combined with the eye, and also combined up to the mind. Likewise, from eye consciousness up to mind consciousness should also be combined. Likewise, it should be combined with the perfection of giving, and also combined up to the perfection of wisdom. Likewise, it should be combined with inner emptiness, and also combined up to the emptiness of the intrinsic nature of non-things. Likewise, it should be combined with the mindfulnesses, and also combined up to the eightfold noble path. Likewise, it should be combined with the ten powers of the Tathagata, and also combined up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. Likewise, it should also be combined with all samadhis and all dharani gates. Likewise, the all-knowingness is not profound, nor is it subtle. Likewise, the intrinsic nature of all-knowingness is not profound, nor is it subtle. Then, those gods thought to themselves: In this teaching of the Dharma, is there no designation of form? Is there no designation of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness? Is there no designation from the perfection of giving up to the perfection of wisdom? Is there no designation of inner emptiness, and also up to the emptiness of the intrinsic nature of non-things?

Do I not exist? In this Dharma teaching, is there no establishment from the mindfulnesses to the Noble Eightfold Path? Is there also no establishment of the ten powers of the Tathagata? Is there also no establishment of the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha? In this Dharma teaching, is there no establishment of stream-entry? Is there also no establishment of the fruit of stream-entry? Once-returner and the fruit of once-returner, non-returner and the fruit of non-returner, Arhat and the fruit of Arhat, solitary realizer and self-Bodhi, Bodhisattva and the Bodhisattva grounds, complete perfect enlightenment and the complete perfect Buddha, is there no establishment of these? Is there also no establishment of letters? What do you think? Then, the venerable Subhuti said to those gods: Gods, it is so, it is as you said. Gods, the Bodhi of the Tathagatas, Arhats, complete perfect Buddhas is inexpressible and unutterable, it is not known by anyone and there is no discernment. Gods, therefore, those who wish to abide in the fruit of stream-entry, or those who wish to realize the fruit of stream-entry, cannot abide or realize without relying on this patience. Similarly, those who wish to abide in the state of Arhat, or those who wish to realize the state of Arhat, similarly, those who wish to abide in solitary realizer Bodhi, or those who wish to realize solitary realizer Bodhi, and those who wish to abide in complete perfect enlightenment, or those who wish to realize complete perfect enlightenment, cannot abide or realize without relying on this patience. Gods, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, from the time they generate the first thought, because it is unheard of and inexpressible, should thus abide in the Prajnaparamita. From the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the sixteenth chapter is called "The Chapter on Patience Paramita."
