Chapter Fifteen: The Perfection of Patience. Chapter Fifteen: The Perfection of Patience. Then, in the trichiliocosm, all the deities such as Indra, lord of the gods, and the Four Great Kings, as many as there were, gathered together in that assembly with countless billions of trillions of sons of the gods. In the trichiliocosm, the sons of the gods free from strife, the sons of the gods of Tushita, the sons of the gods who delight in transformation, and the sons of the gods who have power, and all the Brahmas in the trichiliocosm, gathered together in that assembly with countless billions of trillions of Brahmas. In the trichiliocosm, all the gods of the Pure Abodes gathered together in that assembly with countless billions of trillions of gods of the Pure Abodes. The light of the bodies of the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, which arose from the maturation of their actions, and likewise the Thirty-three, those free from strife, those of Tushita, those who delight in transformation, and the gods who control the transformations of others, and likewise the light of the bodies of the gods from the Brahma realms up to the Pure Abodes, which arose from the maturation of their actions, none of these lights even approach one part in a hundred of the light of the nature of the Tathagata. They do not even approach one part in a thousand. One part in a hundred thousand, one part in a billion trillion, number, part, count, example, or cause do not even approach. The light of the Tathagata's own body appears supreme among those lights. It appears excellent, most excellent, abundant, unsurpassed, and supreme. For example, in the presence of gold from the Jambu River, unsmelted ore is not bright, not radiant, not luminous. Likewise, in the presence of the light of the Tathagata's own nature-body, the light arising from the maturation of the actions of all the gods is not bright, not radiant, not luminous.

The light of the Tathagata's own nature body appears supremely among those lights. It appears excellent, most excellent, vast, unsurpassed, and incomparable. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to the venerable Subhuti: "Venerable Subhuti, in this great trichiliocosm, from the gods of the four great kings to the gods of the pure abodes, all those assembled here to listen to the Dharma, if they also wish to hear the exposition of the Prajnaparamita, how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train in the Prajnaparamita? What is the Prajnaparamita of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? And how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train?" Having spoken thus, the venerable Subhuti said to the Lord of the Gods, Indra: "Kausika, therefore, listen well and keep it in mind. By the power of the Buddha and the blessing of the Buddha, I will explain to you how a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should train in the Prajnaparamita, and the Prajnaparamita of those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who are to be accomplished. Those sons of the gods who have not generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment should generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Those who have entered into the true and faultless cannot generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Why? Because they have cut off the boundary of samsara. However, if they generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, I will not create obstacles to their virtuous actions, and I will also rejoice in them. However, one should focus on the most excellent of the excellent dharmas. Kausika, what is the Prajnaparamita? Kausika, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva
