So it is. The son of the venerable Sharadvati is also thus connected. I, until enlightenment, do not wish to be born in the unborn nature of emptiness. He said: Venerable Subhuti, does the born one be born? Or does the unborn one be born? He said: Venerable son of Sharadvati, the born one is not born, nor is the unborn one born. Why is that? Venerable son of Sharadvati, thus, what is the born one, and what is the unborn one, those two dharmas are neither united nor disunited, without form, invisible, unimpeded, thus without characteristics, they are of one characteristic. Venerable son of Sharadvati, by those names, the born one is not born, nor is the unborn one born. Then, the venerable son of Sharadvati said to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, are you confident in saying that the dharma is unborn, the dharma is unborn? Venerable Subhuti, are you confident in saying that the dharma is unborn, the dharma is unborn, thus saying the unborn? Having said so, the venerable Subhuti said to the venerable son of Sharadvati: Venerable son of Sharadvati, I am confident in saying that the dharma is unborn, the dharma is unborn. Venerable son of Sharadvati, I am also confident in saying that the dharma is unborn, the dharma is unborn, thus saying the unborn. Why is that? Venerable son of Sharadvati, what is the unborn, what is confidence, what is said, and what are the unborn, all those dharmas are neither united nor disunited, without form, invisible, unimpeded, thus without characteristics, they are of one characteristic. Having said so, the venerable son of Sharadvati said to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, those dharmas are also unborn, confidence is also unborn, what is said is also unborn, from what does it arise, are those words of yours also unborn? He said: Venerable Sharadvati

Son is also like that. Just as it is said, those dharmas are also unborn. Courage is also unborn. Speech is also unborn. From what beginnings, the dharmas of courage with which I am able to speak are also unborn. What is the reason for that? Venerable Sharadvatiputra, for example, form is unborn. Likewise, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are unborn. Likewise, from the eye being unborn, to the mind being unborn. Likewise, from the earth element being unborn, to the consciousness element being unborn. The bodily formations are unborn. Likewise, the verbal formations and the mental formations are unborn. Likewise, combining them, up to all-knowingness is also unborn. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, by those names, those speeches are also unborn. Courage is also unborn. From what beginnings, the dharmas of courage with which I am able to speak are also unborn. Then, Venerable Sharadvatiputra said this to Venerable Subhuti. Venerable Subhuti should be regarded as the foremost of those who speak the Dharma. What is the reason for that? For example, Venerable Subhuti, whatever is asked, he explains it thoroughly and properly. What is said is just like that, for example, all dharmas are non-reliant. Then, Venerable Sharadvatiputra again said this to Venerable Subhuti. Venerable Subhuti, what is it that all dharmas are non-reliant? Venerable Subhuti said: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, form is empty of its own nature, it does not rely on the inside, nor does it rely on the outside, nor does it rely on the space between the two. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, Likewise, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are empty of their own nature, they do not rely on the inside, nor do they rely on the outside, nor do they rely on the space between the two. Combine it as before. Likewise, the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are empty of their own nature, they do not rely on the inside.

I do not rely, nor do I rely on external objects, nor do I rely on the space between the two. Likewise, forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile sensations, and dharmas, being empty of inherent nature, do not rely on the internal, nor do they rely on the external, nor do they rely on the space between the two. O son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, likewise, the perfection of giving, being empty of inherent nature, does not rely on the internal, nor does it rely on the external, nor does it rely on the space between the two. Likewise, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and likewise, the perfection of wisdom, being empty of inherent nature, do not rely on the internal, nor do they rely on the external, nor do they rely on the space between the two. Likewise, from emptiness of the internal to emptiness of the essence of non-things, being empty of inherent nature, it does not rely on the internal, nor does it rely on the external, nor does it rely on the space between the two. Likewise, the mindfulnesses, being empty of inherent nature, do not rely on the internal, nor do they rely on the external, nor do they rely on the space between the two. Likewise, the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha, being empty of inherent nature, do not rely on the internal, nor do they rely on the external, nor do they rely on the space between the two. O son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, in that way, all dharmas do not rely, because they are empty of inherent nature. O son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, should thus purify form. Likewise, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness should be purified. Likewise, combining them, one should purify up to the all-knowingness. From the Hundred Thousand Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom, this is called the fourteenth chapter, "The Chapter on No Coming and No Going." Fourteenth Chapter: The Chapter on No Coming and No Going.
