It is the perfection of diligence. Sharadvati's son, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of morality, with the intention of possessing all knowledge, without being separated from the mind that precedes great compassion, if he does not open the opportunity for the minds of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, what need is there to mention the minds of individual ordinary beings? This is the perfection of meditation of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of morality. Sharadvati's son, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of morality, he abides closely with the perception of the nature of illusion in all dharmas, and because of the emptiness of inherent existence, he does not become arrogant about that morality, nor does he fixate on it. This is, Sharadvati's son, the perfection of wisdom of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of morality. Sharadvati's son, thus, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of morality, it is called donning the great armor that is fully endowed with the six perfections. Sharadvati's son, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of patience, he gives charity with a mind endowed with all knowledge, and he shares it with all sentient beings, and he dedicates it to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and he applies it as before. Just as it is shown in the perfection of giving, so too, he applies it to the perfection of diligence. Sharadvati's son, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of meditation, he also enters into meditation and immeasurable and formless absorptions, but he is not born or stolen by the power of those. This is the perfection of wisdom with skillful means of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of meditation. Sharadvati's son, furthermore, a Bodhisattva

When a great hero practices the perfection of meditation, he also enters into all meditations, all immeasurables, and all formless absorptions, and sees them as solitary, empty, signless, and wishless. He also enters into the ground of hearers or solitary buddhas, and this also subdues all hearers and solitary buddhas. Sharadvatiputra, this is also the perfection of wisdom of a bodhisattva, the son of Sharadvati, who is skilled in means and endowed with the practice of the perfection of meditation. Sharadvatiputra, in this way, a bodhisattva, a great being, is said to have donned great armor. Sharadvatiputra, when a bodhisattva, a great being, has thus donned great armor, in all the buddhafields as numerous as the grains of sand in the Ganges River, from the east to the intermediate directions, all the blessed buddhas who dwell there all proclaim and declare in such and such a buddhafield, "This bodhisattva, a great being, has donned great armor and is completely ripening sentient beings and also completely purifying the buddhafields and also performing various miracles by means of miraculous powers." Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, by what great vehicle does a bodhisattva, a great being, become known as truly riding the great vehicle?" Having thus asked, the Blessed One said to the venerable Sharadvatiputra, "Sharadvatiputra, here, when a bodhisattva, a great being, practices the six perfections, being secluded from desires, secluded from sinful and unwholesome dharmas, with initial application and sustained application, having attained and abided in the first dhyana, which is born of seclusion and is accompanied by joy and bliss; and then, having abandoned initial application and sustained application, and with inner tranquility, the mind having become unified, without initial application and without sustained application, having attained and abided in the second dhyana, which is born of concentration and is accompanied by joy and bliss; and then, having abandoned attachment to joy,
