That is not done by the Shravakas, not done by the Pratyekabuddhas, not done by the Bodhisattvas, not done by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Why is that? Because its nature is such, it is called emptiness of nature. What is emptiness of own nature? Regarding own nature, the nature of form is being formable, the nature of feeling is experiencing, the nature of perception is making fully known, the nature of formations is manifestly forming, the nature of consciousness is distinguishing. Likewise, apply this to what is the nature of conditioned dharmas and what is the nature of unconditioned dharmas. Because there is no permanence and no destruction, all those natures are empty of own nature. Why is that? Because its nature is such, it is called emptiness of own nature. What is the emptiness of all dharmas? All dharmas refer to the five aggregates, the twelve sources, the eighteen elements, the form dharmas, the formless dharmas, the conditioned dharmas, and the unconditioned dharmas. Because there is no permanence and no destruction, all dharmas are empty by all dharmas. Why is that? Because its nature is such, it is called emptiness of all dharmas. What is the emptiness of non-apprehension? Also, because there is no permanence and no destruction, all dharmas are non-apprehensible. Why is that? Because its nature is such, it is called emptiness of non-apprehension. What is the emptiness of non-entity? That which does not apprehend any entity, that is called emptiness of non-entity. What is the emptiness of own-being? There is no own-being that arises from aggregation, that is called emptiness of own-being. What is the emptiness of non-entity own-being? There is no own-being that arises from aggregation, that is non-entity

Its own nature is called emptiness. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, things are empty of things. Non-things are empty of non-things. Own nature is empty of own nature. Other things are empty of other things. What are things? Things are the five aggregates, namely: form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. Among them, things are empty of things. How are non-things empty of non-things? Non-things are the unconditioned. Among them, the unconditioned is empty of the unconditioned. Similarly, non-things are empty of non-things. How is own nature empty of own nature? The own nature of all phenomena is neither made by wisdom, nor made by sight, nor made by anything. This is called own nature being empty of own nature. How are other things empty of other things? Whether the Tathagatas appear or the Tathagatas do not appear, the Dharma-nature of phenomena, as well as the Dharma-realm, as well as the faultlessness of Dharma, as well as Suchness, as well as non-inverted Suchness, as well as non-other Suchness, and the true limit is the abiding nature. The emptiness of other of these Dharmas is called other things being empty of other things. Sharadvatiputra, all the Dharmas that Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should not cling to are these. Non-clinging is the perfection of wisdom gone beyond, and quickly realizes the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. From the Hundred Thousand Verses of the Perfection of Wisdom, the first chapter, called "Introduction Chapter," is finished. First, Introduction Chapter.
