Chapter Seven, Section Ten: The Chapter on Showing Gradual Practice, Learning, and Attainment. Chapter Seven, Section Ten: The Chapter on Showing Gradual Practice, Learning, and Attainment. Having spoken thus, the Venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Lord, if even those who have a perception of things do not have conforming patience, how can there be attainment? How can there be realization? If not, do those who have a perception of no-thing have conforming patience? Is there the ground of pure vision, and the ground of lineage, and the eighth ground, and the ground of vision, and the ground of attenuation, and the ground of detachment from desire, and the ground of those who have realized what has been done, and the ground of solitary Buddhas, and the ground of Bodhisattvas, and the practice of the path? Relying on the practice of the path, will the afflictions of those who possess the Hearer or possess the Solitary Buddha also be abandoned? If obscured by those afflictions, one will not enter into the faultlessness of the Bodhisattva, and without entering into the faultlessness of the Bodhisattva, one will not attain omniscience. Without attaining omniscience, one will not abandon the connection of habitual tendencies and all afflictions. Lord, if there is no abiding and arising by even a few dharmas, then those unarisen dharmas will not be able to accomplish the attainment of omniscience." Having spoken thus, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, it is so, it is so, those who have a perception of no-thing do not have conforming patience. Apply it thus, even up to the abandonment of all connections of habitual tendencies, there is none." Said: "Lord, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, is there a perception of things? Or a perception of no-thing? Is there a perception of form up to a perception of consciousness? Is there a perception up to omniscience? Is there a perception of desire? Or a perception of abandoning desire? Is there a perception of hatred? Or hatred
