ten powers, four fearlessnesses, four individual perfect knowledges, eighteen unshared qualities of a buddha, great love and great compassion, and until one has not become endowed with the wisdom of all-aspects-knowing, one should not fully familiarize oneself with the path to enlightenment. Subhuti, these are the paths to enlightenment; by these paths to enlightenment, the perfections are completely fulfilled. Having completely fulfilled the perfections, with the wisdom of a single instant, one will attain all-aspects-knowing. At that time, its habitual tendencies and connections, and all afflictions, will be abandoned by the abandonment of non-arising. He, with the eye of a buddha, having looked upon the three-thousand great-thousandfold world realm, does not even fixate on non-things, what to say of things? Subhuti, a bodhisattva mahasattva should thus practice the perfection of wisdom on all phenomena of the nature of non-things. Subhuti, if even things are not fixated upon, what to say of non-things? That too is the skillful means of a bodhisattva mahasattva. Subhuti, that bodhisattva mahasattva, practicing the perfection of wisdom, gives charity; when he gives charity, he does not discriminate, does not make signs, and does not attend to it in the form of things and non-things. He also does not discriminate or make signs with respect to the receiver, and does not attend to it in the form of things and non-things. He also does not discriminate or make signs with respect to the giver, and does not attend to it in the form of things and non-things. That mind of enlightenment is also not fixated upon, does not make signs, does not fixate, and does not truly see accordingly. Even up to the perfection of wisdom, he does not discriminate in the form of things and non-things, and does not make signs. Even up to all-aspects-knowing, he does not attend to it in the form of things and non-things, does not discriminate, and does not attend to it. Unsurpassed

Even up to perfect and complete enlightenment, one does not focus on or make signs of it. One does not fully discriminate in terms of entities and non-entities regarding who attains perfect and complete enlightenment, who should attain perfect and complete enlightenment, or by whom perfect and complete enlightenment is attained. Why is that? Because all phenomena are by nature without entity. That which is without entity is not made by the Buddhas, the Hearers, or the Solitary Buddhas. All phenomena are immutable because they are separate from the maker. The question: Blessed One, are phenomena separate from phenomena themselves? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Phenomena are indeed separate from phenomena. The question: Blessed One, if phenomena are only separate from phenomena, how can one seek the separated phenomena as being either entities or non-entities? Because with non-entity phenomena, one cannot seek entity phenomena, and with entity phenomena, one cannot seek non-entity phenomena. With non-entity phenomena, one cannot seek non-entity phenomena, and with entity phenomena, one cannot seek entity phenomena. If all phenomena cannot be sought in that way, how can a Bodhisattva Mahasattva show whether they are entities or non-entities? The Blessed One replied: A Bodhisattva Mahasattva, holding to the conventional truth of the world, shows whether they are called entities or non-entities, but not in ultimate truth. The question: Blessed One, is the conventional truth of the world something different, and the ultimate truth something different? The reply: Subhuti, the conventional truth of the world is not different, and the ultimate truth is not different. Whatever is the suchness of the conventional truth of the world, that itself is the suchness of the ultimate truth. Because those beings do not know or see that suchness, therefore, the Bodhisattva's conventional truth of the world...

It shows whether things exist or things do not exist. Subhuti, these sentient beings perceive these five aggregates as things, but they do not understand that things do not exist. Thinking, 'How can they realize that things do not exist?' For their sake, in order to perfectly distinguish all dharmas, it is shown in this way. Subhuti, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should thus practice the Perfection of Wisdom. This is the chapter called 'Truly Showing' from the Eighty Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, the sixty-fourth. Sixty-fourth Chapter, The Chapter on Truly Showing.
