Raro! What is the reason for that? Shariputra, whoever wishes to exhaust the Perfection of Wisdom is simply wishing to exhaust the sky. The Perfection of Wisdom is inexhaustible, non-exhaustible, and will not be exhausted. Similarly, apply this to the Perfection of Dhyana and the Perfection of Giving; they are also inexhaustible, non-exhaustible, and will not be exhausted. Similarly, apply this to the state of Omniscience; it is also inexhaustible, non-exhaustible, and will not be exhausted. For these dharmas have no birth, and those dharmas that have no birth have no exhaustion. Then, the Blessed One extended his tongue from the door of his mouth, completely covering the entire circle of his face with his tongue, and spoke to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, what do you think? Would someone with such a tongue speak falsely or speak otherwise? Shariputra replied: Blessed One, no. Sugata, no. The Blessed One said: Shariputra, therefore, widely teach, speak, explain, thoroughly explain, differentiate, and properly and thoroughly teach this Perfection of Wisdom to these four assemblies. Shariputra, all the dharmas that should be learned by those of the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Bodhisattva Vehicle are extensively taught from this profound Perfection of Wisdom. If they learn as taught, they will abide in their respective paths. Shariputra, this profound Perfection of Wisdom encompasses all letters and encompasses all non-letters. Shariputra, this profound Perfection of Wisdom is the door to all dharanis that Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should learn. Those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who hold these dharanis will obtain all fearlessness and individual perfect knowledge. Shariputra, this Perfection of Wisdom encompasses the past, the future, and the present.
