Not abandoning the perfection of the ground, but practicing the perfection of wisdom, one is inseparable from the perfection of wisdom. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices this profound perfection of wisdom should be known as one whose Dharma-nature does not regress from all-knowingness, who keeps far from the ground of the Hearers and the Solitary Buddhas, and who is close to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. If he thinks, 'This is the perfection of wisdom; in this perfection of wisdom, with this perfection of wisdom, I shall accomplish all-knowingness,' if he thus knows it all around, then he is not practicing the perfection of wisdom. If 'This is the perfection of wisdom; the perfection of wisdom is here,' there is no such all-around knowing. He does not know or see what becomes the perfection of wisdom, what becomes by the perfection of wisdom, what is definitely produced by the perfection of wisdom, and what is manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. If he again thinks, 'Because of the abiding of the element of Dharma, Suchness, and the limit of reality, this is not the perfection of wisdom, nor is there the perfection of wisdom in this, nor will any Dharma be definitely produced by this perfection of wisdom,' if he thinks thus, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices thus is practicing the perfection of wisdom. From the Eighty Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, it is called the chapter on Practice, the fifty-seventh.
