Do you truly see the form that is apprehended and clung to? Subhuti, do you truly see what you apprehend, what you cling to, and the feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness that are apprehended and clung to? He replied: No, Blessed One. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, do you truly see what you apprehend, what you cling to, and the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment that is apprehended and clung to? He replied: No, Blessed One. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, well done! well done! Subhuti, I also do not truly see the form that is apprehended or clung to, or what is apprehended or clung to. Subhuti, I also do not truly see up to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Because I do not truly see, I do not apprehend. Because I do not apprehend, there is no clinging. Subhuti, I also do not truly see the realm of the Buddha, omniscience, all-knowingness, and the Tathagatahood itself. Because I do not truly see, I do not apprehend, and because I do not apprehend, there is no clinging. Therefore, Subhuti, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should not apprehend form, nor should they cling to it. They should not apprehend feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness, nor should they cling to them. Similarly, they should not apprehend the Buddha himself, omniscience, all-knowingness, and the Tathagatahood itself, nor should they cling to them. Then, the sons of the gods who dwell in desire and form spoke to the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, this Perfection of Wisdom is: Profound and difficult to see, difficult to understand, it cannot be fathomed, it is not the domain of speculation, it is peaceful, subtle.

Are the wise who examine and the scholars who practice. Blessed One, those Bodhisattvas who have faith in this Prajnaparamita, those are the ones who have been especially taught by the Buddhas of the past, and who have been embraced by virtuous friends. Blessed One, those sentient beings who have faith in this profound Prajnaparamita, those are the ones who have generated roots of virtue. Blessed One, if all the sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand worlds were followers of faith, followers of Dharma, eighth ones, stream-enterers, once-returners, non-returners, Arhats, and Pratyekabuddhas, whatever the knowledge and abandonment of all of them, and whatever single thought of acceptance, desire, attention, measurement, observation, and consideration arises towards this profound Prajnaparamita, compared to that, whatever desire and acceptance arises towards this suchness of Prajnaparamita, that itself is the most supreme Dharma. What is the reason for that? Because the knowledge and abandonment of the followers of faith, followers of Dharma, eighth ones, and stream-enterers, and the knowledge and abandonment of the once-returners, the non-returners, the Arhats, and the Pratyekabuddhas, are the acceptance of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has obtained the acceptance of non-origination of phenomena. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the sons of the gods who dwell in the desire realm and the form realm: Sons of the gods, well done! Well done! Sons of the gods, it is so, it is so. The knowledge and abandonment of the followers of faith, followers of Dharma, eighth ones, stream-enterers, once-returners, non-returners, Arhats, and Pratyekabuddhas, are the acceptance of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has obtained the acceptance of non-origination of phenomena.

Having heard this profound Perfection of Wisdom, and having heard it, also writing it down, and having written it down, also bestowing its transmission, reciting it, and properly attending to it in their minds, those sons of good family or daughters of good family, should be known to swiftly and completely pass beyond sorrow. But those who practice the Hearer Vehicle or the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, in other sutras that are separate from the Perfection of Wisdom, will not change in that way. Why is that? Because, whatever is to be learned by those who follow faith and those who follow the Dharma, and those who have entered the stream, and those who return once, and those who do not return, and the Arhats, and those who have truly entered the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and whatever the Thus-gone Ones, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, having learned, manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete Awakening, manifestly and completely become Buddhas, and will manifestly and completely become Buddhas, the most excellent of true Dharmas, is because it is extensively taught from this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Then, those sons of gods who abide in desire and abide in form said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, just like this, the Perfection of Wisdom, the Perfection of Wisdom, this is great. Blessed One, just like this, the Perfection of Wisdom, the Perfection of Wisdom, this is incomparable, the Perfection of Wisdom is immeasurable, the Perfection of Wisdom is countless, the Perfection of Wisdom is unequal and equal. Blessed One, to this Perfection of Wisdom, those who follow faith and those who follow the Dharma, and the eighth ones, and those who have entered the stream, and those who return once, and those who do not return, and the Arhats, and the Solitary Buddhas, by learning it, will certainly become liberated. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, by learning it, will manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete Awakening.
