It is non-existence, non-equality, and equality. Subhuti, the Tathagata's Dharmas of the Tathagatas are inconceivable because they transcend thought; immeasurable because they transcend measurement; unfathomable because they transcend scale; countless because they transcend enumeration; and non-equal and equal because they transcend equality and non-equality. Subhuti, the term 'inconceivable' is a superlative word for 'unthinkable.' Subhuti, the term 'immeasurable' is a superlative word for 'unmeasurable.' Subhuti, the term 'unfathomable' is a superlative word for 'unlimited.' Subhuti, the term 'countless' is a superlative word for 'beyond number.' Subhuti, the term 'non-equal and equal' is a superlative word for 'without equality and with equality.' Subhuti, the Tathagata's Dharmas of the Tathagatas are inconceivable, immeasurable, unfathomable, countless, and non-equal and equal. Subhuti, the term 'inconceivable' is because space is inconceivable. Similarly, immeasurable, unfathomable, countless, and non-equal and equal are also because they are like space. Subhuti, thus, the Tathagata's Dharmas are inconceivable, immeasurable, unfathomable, countless, and non-equal and equal. These cannot be thought, measured, fathomed, or counted by the Shravakas, all Pratyekabuddhas, and the world including the gods. Thus, the Buddhas are also unfathomable, and the Buddhas' Dharmas are also unfathomable. When this Dharma discourse on the categories of the chapter on the Inconceivable, Immeasurable, Unfathomable, Countless, and Non-equal and Equal was taught, five hundred monks were completely liberated from the outflows without any clinging. Two thousand nuns were also completely liberated from the outflows without any clinging. Sixty thousand lay practitioners obtained the Dharma eye, which is without dust, free from defilement, and completely pure, regarding the Dharmas. Laywomen

Thirty thousand also, in all dharmas, without the dust of the eye of dharma and free from defilement, are perfectly pure. Twenty thousand Bodhisattvas have obtained forbearance in the dharma of non-arising. They too were prophesied by the Bhagavan to become Buddhas in this very fortunate aeon. From the Eighteen Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, this is called the chapter on the Inconceivable, the forty-third. Forty-third, The Chapter on the Inconceivable.
