Chapter Forty-two: Teaching about the World Chapter Forty-two: Teaching about the World The Perfection of Wisdom in Eighteen Thousand Lines, Chapter Thirty-three. Subhuti, for example, if some women have five sons, or ten, or twenty, or thirty, or forty, or fifty, or a hundred, or a thousand, or a hundred thousand. How would they all act because their mother is sick? May our mother not have any obstacles! How can we make our mother live long? How can we make our mother's body not get sick? This is the one who gave birth to us, sustains our body, and gives us life! They strive to do this, not allowing any obstacles to their mother's life, not allowing her body to weaken, not allowing mosquitoes, horseflies, or poisonous snakes to harm her, not allowing her to suffer from cold, heat, hunger, and thirst. These sons serve their mother with the best service and protect her with the best protection. In this way, these sons do everything they can to make their mother happy, and say: This is the one who shows us this world! They serve their mother in this way. Subhuti, similarly, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas also always pay attention to this profound Perfection of Wisdom with the Buddha's eye without interruption. Why is that? Because this profound Perfection of Wisdom is the cause of generating all Buddha-dharmas and bringing the light of wisdom. In the world realms of the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, all the Buddhas who reside there also always pay attention to this profound Perfection of Wisdom with the Buddha's eye without interruption. Why is that? Because this is the cause of generating the Tathagatas and correctly showing the all-knowing wisdom. Therefore, those Tathagatas always pay attention to this profound Perfection of Wisdom with the Buddha's eye without interruption. Why is that?
