Subhuti, furthermore, if a Dharma speaker is content with little desire, delights in solitude, exerts effort, abides in mindfulness, attains samadhi, is single-minded, and possesses wisdom, while the Dharma listener is without desire but desires to do evil, is attached to gain, respect, and reverence, as well as clothing, food, bedding, seats, medicine, and provisions, Subhuti, they will then write, receive, recite, and chant this profound Perfection of Wisdom.

Subhuti, furthermore, the Dharma speaker is one who dwells in the wilderness, one who lives on alms, one who wears rag robes, one who does not discriminate food, one who eats in one sitting, one who is content with what is obtained through alms, one who dwells in cemeteries, one who is without shelter, one who dwells under trees, one who always sits, one who sits wherever a seat is spread, one who possesses the three Dharma robes; the Dharma listener is one who develops love for the path between the one who dwells in the wilderness and the one who possesses the three Dharma robes. Subhuti, this profound Perfection of Wisdom, if one does not possess the assembly of writing, reciting, and chanting, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should recognize it as the work of Mara. Subhuti, furthermore, the Dharma listener is one who is between the one who dwells in the wilderness and the one who possesses the three Dharma robes; the Dharma speaker is one who is not between the one who dwells in the wilderness and the one who possesses the three Dharma robes. Subhuti, this profound Perfection of Wisdom, if one does not possess the assembly of writing, receiving, chanting, and proper attention, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should recognize it as the work of Mara. Subhuti, furthermore, the Dharma listener is one who believes and delights in all virtuous Dharmas, who desires to write this profound Perfection of Wisdom, who desires to hold it, who desires to receive it, who desires to chant it; the Dharma speaker is one who does not believe and does not delight in non-virtuous Dharmas, who does not desire to write and give this profound Perfection of Wisdom, who does not desire to hold the assembly of meanings. Subhuti, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should recognize it as the work of Mara.
