Chapter Thirty-Eight: The Chapter on Non-Objectification Chapter Thirty-Eight: The Chapter on Non-Objectification Then, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is non-existent." The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, because space is non-existent." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is equanimity." The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, because all dharmas are equal in non-objectification." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is secluded." The Blessed One said: "Because of the emptiness that transcends limits." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is without protection." The Blessed One said: "Because all dharmas are without objectification." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is without foundation." The Blessed One said: "Because it is without name and without body." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is like space." The Blessed One said: "Because the movement of inner and outer breath is without objectification." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is unspeakable." The Blessed One said: "Because discrimination and investigation are without objectification." Subhuti said: "Blessed One, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom, this Perfection of Wisdom, is without name."
