The Twenty-seventh Chapter: The Stupa Chapter. The Twenty-seventh Chapter: The Stupa Chapter. Then, the Blessed One said to the Lord of the Gods, Indra: Kauśika. Whether a son or daughter of good family holds, keeps, reads, recites, teaches, utters, agrees with, or properly attends to this profound Perfection of Wisdom, even if they go to the front line of battle, enter, participate, go to, stay, or stand in battle. Kauśika. Whichever son or daughter of good family holds, keeps, reads, recites, teaches, utters, agrees with, or properly attends to this profound Perfection of Wisdom, even if struck by an arrow, stick, wood, clod, or any weapon, it is impossible and there is no chance that those weapons will hit their body, because it is impossible for external harm to endanger their life. Why is that? Kauśika. Like this, the son or daughter of good family has long practiced the Perfection of Wisdom, and has certainly destroyed their own arrows of desire and weapons of desire. They have also certainly destroyed the arrows of desire and weapons of desire of others. They have certainly destroyed their own arrows of hatred, arrows of delusion, weapons of hatred, and weapons of delusion. They have also certainly destroyed the arrows of hatred, arrows of delusion, weapons of hatred, and weapons of delusion of others. They have certainly destroyed their own arrows of views and weapons of views. They have also certainly destroyed the arrows of views and weapons of views of others. They have certainly destroyed their own arrows of arising and weapons of arising. They have also certainly destroyed the arrows of arising and weapons of arising of others. They have certainly destroyed their own arrows of latent tendencies and weapons of latent tendencies. They have also certainly destroyed the arrows of latent tendencies and weapons of latent tendencies of others.

have been destroyed. Kauśika! Therefore, an arrow or weapon shot at the body of that son or daughter of good family will not hit. Kauśika! Furthermore, any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, understands, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, and whose mind is inseparable from the mind of all-knowingness, if someone smears them with non-medicine, or curses them, or brings them near a pit of fire, or strikes them with a weapon, or pours poison into them, or scatters them with water, all of these will not harm them. Why is that? Kauśika! For example, this Perfection of Wisdom is a great mantra. Kauśika! For example, this Perfection of Wisdom is an unsurpassed mantra. Kauśika! For example, this Perfection of Wisdom is an unequaled and equal mantra. Kauśika! Therefore, sons or daughters of good family who study it do not think of harming themselves, nor do they think of harming others, nor do they think of harming both. Why is that? Because they do not fixate on this knowledge, nor do they fixate on other knowledge, nor do they fixate on both. They do not fixate on form, nor do they fixate on feeling, perception, formation, nor do they fixate on consciousness. They do not fixate on the elements, nor on the sense bases, nor on dependent origination, nor on the perfections, nor on all emptinesses, nor on the factors of enlightenment, nor on the ten powers, nor on the fearlessnesses, nor on the separate perfect knowledges, nor on the unmixed qualities of the Buddhas, nor even on all-knowingness. Because they do not fixate, they do not think of harming themselves, nor do they think of harming others, nor do they think of harming both, and they will attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and they will also become guides for all sentient beings. Why is that? Because the Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Enlightened Ones of the past also attained unsurpassed perfect enlightenment after studying this mantra.

To the Buddhas. All those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones who will appear in the future will also become fully enlightened by learning this Prajnaparamita and realizing the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. All those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones who have appeared in the realms of the ten directions are also enlightened by learning this Prajnaparamita in order to realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Kausika. Furthermore, wherever this Prajnaparamita is written and held, even if it is not taken, not read, not recited, not fully understood, and not properly contemplated, there, humans and non-human seekers will not be able to find an opportunity. Why is that? Because, in order to make offerings to this Prajnaparamita, in this three-thousand great thousand world system, the sons of the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and the sons of the gods between the Thirty-Three and Akanistha, and in countless and immeasurable world systems, the sons of the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and the sons of the gods between the Thirty-Three and Akanistha, all those gods will constantly and continuously protect, save, and conceal those sons or daughters of good families.
