Emptiness of non-existence should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness without abandonment, emptiness without beginning and end should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness without abandonment, emptiness of inherent nature should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of inherent nature, emptiness without abandonment should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of inherent nature, emptiness of self-characteristic should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of self-characteristic, emptiness of inherent nature should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of self-characteristic, emptiness of all dharmas should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of all dharmas, emptiness of self-characteristic should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of all dharmas, emptiness of no-thing should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of no-thing, emptiness of all dharmas should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of no-thing, emptiness of own-being should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of own-being, emptiness of no-thing should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of own-being, emptiness of own-being of no-thing should not be seen as truly following. In emptiness of own-being of no-thing, emptiness of own-being should not be seen as truly following. Shariputra, endowed with life, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, then he enters into the faultlessness of a Bodhisattva. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, by thus learning the Perfection of Wisdom, should know form, but should not become conceited by it. He should know feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, but should not become conceited by it. He should know eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, but should not become conceited by it. He should know form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharmas, but should not become conceited by it. He should know the Perfection of Giving, but should not become conceited by it. He should know ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom.

It should be known, and one should not be arrogant about it. Dhyana, the immeasurable, and the formless samadhi should also be known, and one should not be arrogant about them. Similarly, the five supernormal cognitions, the five eyes, mindfulness, right exertion, the basis of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, the path, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha should also be known, and one should not be arrogant about them. Shariputra, endowed with life, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way, he should not be arrogant about the mind of enlightenment either. One should not be arrogant about the unequal mind, the equal mind, and the great mind either. Why is that? Because this mind is not a mind, because the nature of the mind is luminosity. Shariputra said: "Reverend Subhuti, what is the luminosity of the nature of the mind?" Subhuti said: "Reverend Shariputra, the mind is neither associated with desire nor disassociated. It is neither associated with anger and ignorance nor disassociated. It is neither associated with all the latent tendencies, the obscurations, the latent predispositions, the bonds, the views, nor with the minds of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, nor disassociated. Shariputra, endowed with life, that is the luminosity of the nature of the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva." Shariputra said: "Reverend Subhuti, where is there a mind that is called 'not-mind'?" Subhuti said: "Reverend Shariputra, what is not-mind, can there be an apprehension or existence of existence or non-existence on that?" Shariputra said: "Reverend
