Aspiring to abide in the noble samadhi, and in the samadhi that is liberated and unobstructed, like the sky, without attachment, one should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, wishing to attain those doors of samadhi and others, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. The Eight Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, Chapter Six. Blessed One! Furthermore, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, wishing to fulfill the intentions of all sentient beings, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One! Furthermore, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, wishing to perfect whatever roots of virtue, by which (roots of virtue) they will not fall into the lower realms, will not be born in inferior castes, will not fall into the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and will not fall into the crown of faults of Bodhisattvas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom, wishing to perfect all roots of virtue. Then, the Venerable Shariputra said to the Venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, how does the crown of faults of a Bodhisattva fall? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, unskilled in means, practice the six perfections, unskilled in means, rely on the samadhi of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and neither fall into the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, nor enter into the absence of faults of Bodhisattvas, this is called the fault of a Bodhisattva. Shariputra said: Venerable Subhuti, why does this become a fault of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, what is called the fault of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is attachment to the Dharma. Shariputra said: Venerable Subhuti, what is attachment to the Dharma? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, in form

Clinging and abiding in what is called "emptiness," and fully understanding, similarly, for feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, clinging and abiding in what is called "emptiness," and fully understanding these, Venerable Shariputra, this is a bodhisattva mahasattva's craving for concordant dharmas, which is called a fault. Venerable Shariputra, furthermore, a bodhisattva clings and abides in the "impermanence" of form, and fully understands, form is suffering, selfless, impure, peaceful, empty, signless, wishless, clinging and abiding in these, and fully understanding, Venerable Shariputra, this is a bodhisattva's craving for concordant dharmas, which is a fault. Similarly, for feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, clinging and abiding in "impermanence," and fully understanding, it is suffering, selfless, impure, peaceful, empty, signless, wishless, clinging and abiding in these, and fully understanding, Venerable Shariputra, this is a bodhisattva's craving for concordant dharmas, which is a fault. If so, form should be abandoned. By this, form should be abandoned. Thus, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness should be abandoned. By this, it should be abandoned. Thus, suffering should be fully understood. By this, suffering should be fully understood. Thus, origination should be abandoned. By this, origination should be abandoned. Thus, cessation should be realized. By this, cessation should be realized. Thus, the path should be cultivated. By this, the path should be cultivated. This is complete affliction. This is complete purification. These dharmas should be relied upon. These dharmas should not be relied upon. A bodhisattva should practice these. These should not be practiced. This is the path of a bodhisattva. This is not the path. This is the training of a bodhisattva. This is not the training. This is the perfection of generosity of a bodhisattva. This is discipline, patience, diligence.

Dhyana and the perfection of wisdom. This is not the Bodhisattva's giving, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. This is the Bodhisattva's skillful means. This is not skillful means. This is the Bodhisattva's faultlessness. If one is attached to and dwells on these dharmas, constantly clinging to them, then this is a fault, as it is a craving for the corresponding dharmas of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Shariputra said: Venerable Subhuti, what is the faultlessness of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the perfection of wisdom, he does not correctly perceive outer emptiness in inner emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive inner emptiness in outer emptiness. He does not correctly perceive emptiness emptiness in inner-outer emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive inner-outer emptiness in emptiness emptiness. He does not correctly perceive great emptiness in emptiness emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive emptiness emptiness in great emptiness. He does not correctly perceive ultimate emptiness in great emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive great emptiness in ultimate emptiness. He does not correctly perceive conditioned emptiness in ultimate emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive ultimate emptiness in conditioned emptiness. He does not correctly perceive unconditioned emptiness in conditioned emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive conditioned emptiness in unconditioned emptiness. He does not correctly perceive emptiness beyond extremes in unconditioned emptiness, nor does he correctly perceive unconditioned emptiness in emptiness beyond extremes. He does not correctly perceive emptiness without beginning or end in emptiness beyond extremes, nor does he correctly perceive emptiness beyond extremes in emptiness without beginning or end. He does not correctly perceive abandonment in emptiness without beginning or end.
