Second, the chapter on generating the mind. Second, the chapter on generating the mind. At that time, the Blessed One, having realized that the world with its gods, with its demons, with its Brahma, with its ascetics and Brahmins, with its gods and humans, had gathered, and that most of the Bodhisattvas, great beings, had become young, and that they had gathered, then the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, here, the Bodhisattva, great being, wishing to awaken to all dharmas in all ways, should strive in the Prajnaparamita. Having spoken thus, the venerable Shariputra asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, how should the Bodhisattva, great being, wishing to awaken to all dharmas in all ways, strive in the Prajnaparamita? Having asked thus, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, here, the Bodhisattva, great being, should abide in the Prajnaparamita in a non-abiding manner. Because of not perceiving the giver, the receiver, and the gift, one should perfect the Paramita of giving in a manner of not giving up. In order to not generate transgressions and especially not generate transgressions, one should perfect the Paramita of morality. In order to be without strife, one should perfect the Paramita of patience. In order to not abandon the diligence of body and mind, one should perfect the Paramita of diligence. In order to be without taste, one should perfect the Paramita of meditation. In order to not perceive all dharmas, one should perfect the Prajnaparamita. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva, great being, abiding in the Prajnaparamita, because of not perceiving mindfulness, should perfect the four mindfulnesses. The four right abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, the limbs of enlightenment.
