It is established by taking the terms of the world as a basis. It is nominal, but not in the ultimate sense. Therefore, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, from the moment they generate the first mind, establish it as a basis. Even when practicing towards enlightenment, they do not focus on those minds. They do not focus on sentient beings, solitary realizers, or Bodhisattvas. Subhuti, what do you think? When Subhuti, you have obtained the faculties to abandon the view of the aggregates, or the Samadhi of No Interval, or obtained the fruit of Stream-enterer, or Once-returner, or Non-returner, or obtained the Arhatship itself, at that time, will there be any focus on dreams, mind, path, or fruit? He replied: Bhagavan, that is not so. The Bhagavan said: Then how is it that you, Subhuti, have been taught and prophesied to have attained Arhatship? He replied: Bhagavan, it is by taking the terms of the world as a basis that the prophecy was given. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, likewise, Bodhisattva is also established in worldly terms. Form is also established in worldly terms. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are also established in worldly terms. The sense bases, elements, and dependent origination are also established in worldly terms. The perfections, all emptiness, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment are also established in worldly terms. The noble truths, meditative stabilizations, immeasurables, formless absorptions, liberations, successive abidings in meditative stabilization, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, superknowledges, meditative stabilizations, and the doors of dharanis are also established in worldly terms. The powers and fearlessnesses of the Thus-gone One, the individual perfect knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the unmixed dharmas of the Buddhas are also established in worldly terms. Even up to all-knowingness is established in worldly terms. Bo

A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not focus on any dharma, whether it increases, decreases, benefits, or harms. If one grasps the self-nature of dharmas and does not focus on the dharma-nature of all dharmas, what need is there to mention focusing on the initial generation of the mind? That is impossible. What need is there to mention focusing on the ten bhumis, the perfections, all emptiness, the thirty-seven wings of enlightenment? That is impossible. What need is there to mention focusing on the noble truths, meditative stabilizations, immeasurables, formless absorptions, liberations, successive abidings in meditative stabilization, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, superknowledges, samadhis, and the gateways of dharanis? That is impossible. What need is there to mention focusing on the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha? That is impossible. What need is there to mention focusing up to all-knowingness? That is impossible. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, manifestly awakens to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and benefits sentient beings. This concludes the Sixty-Fourth Chapter of the Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom. Sixty-Fourth Chapter.
