Then, the venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: "O Blessed One, just as you have declared the name of the Perfection of Wisdom, so too, you have not declared the name of the Perfection of Generosity. Likewise, the Perfection of Ethics, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, and likewise, the name of the Perfection of Meditation have not been declared. Likewise, the name between inner emptiness and the emptiness of the nature of non-things has not been declared. Likewise, the name of the mindfulnesses has not been declared. Likewise, the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the name of the eightfold noble path have not been declared. Likewise, the noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, and the formless Attainments have not been declared. Likewise, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the doors of liberation, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the superknowledges, the samadhis, and the doors of dharani have not been declared. The doors and the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddhas, etc., are the preliminary practices, which are universally guiding. Good friend, what do you think? Is giving that is not dedicated to all-knowingness the perfection of giving? Are morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom that are not dedicated to all-knowingness the perfection of wisdom? He replied: Blessed One, it is not. Blessed One, how is giving that is dedicated to all-knowingness the perfection of giving? How are morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom that are dedicated to all-knowingness the perfection of wisdom? The Blessed One said: Good friend, by way of non-duality, giving that is dedicated to all-knowingness is the perfection of giving. Good friend, by way of non-duality, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom that are dedicated to all-knowingness are the perfection of wisdom. By way of non-arising and by way of non-objectification, giving that is dedicated to all-knowingness is the perfection of giving. By way of non-arising and non-objectification, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom that are dedicated to all-knowingness are the perfection of wisdom. He replied: Blessed One, how is giving that is dedicated to all-knowingness by way of non-duality, by way of non-arising, and by way of non-objectification the perfection of giving?
