Because it is far removed from the fearlessnesses, the various correct knowledges, and the Buddha's unshared qualities, therefore it is called far removed. Because it is far removed from the interval of all-knowingness, therefore it is called far removed. The venerable Sharadvatiputra said thus, far removed, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever the venerable Sharadvatiputra examines in this way, that is to say, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not think that form is permanent, nor does he think that form is impermanent. He does not think that feeling is pleasure, nor does he think that feeling is suffering. He does not think that feeling is self, nor does he think that feeling is selfless. He does not think that feeling is pure, nor does he think that feeling is impure. He does not think that feeling is empty, nor does he think that feeling is not empty. He does not think that feeling has a sign, nor does he think that feeling is without a sign. He does not think that feeling has a wish, nor does he think that feeling is without a wish. He does not think that feeling is peaceful, nor does he think that feeling is not peaceful. He does not think that feeling is secluded, nor does he think that feeling is not secluded. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are permanent, nor does he think that consciousness is impermanent. He does not think that consciousness is pleasure, nor does he think that consciousness is suffering. He does not think that consciousness is self, nor does he think that consciousness is selfless. He does not think that consciousness is pure, nor does he think that consciousness is impure. He does not think that consciousness is empty, nor does he think that consciousness is not empty. He does not think that consciousness has a sign, nor does he think that consciousness is without a sign. He does not think that consciousness has a wish, nor does he think that consciousness is without a wish. He does not think that consciousness is peaceful, nor does he think that consciousness is not peaceful. He does not think that consciousness is secluded, nor does he think that consciousness is not secluded. The eye is permanent, nor does he think that the eye is impermanent. He does not think that the eye is pleasure, nor does he think that the eye is suffering. He does not think that the eye is self, nor does he think that the eye is selfless.
