Chapter Seven. Chapter Seven. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if someone asks this: Will this illusory person, having trained in the Perfection of Wisdom, become all-knowing? Will he attain all-knowingness? Blessed One, if asked in this way, how should I explain it? Will this illusory person, having trained in the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Virya, the Perfection of Kshanti, the Perfection of Shila, and the Perfection of Dana, become all-knowing? Will this illusory person, having trained in the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, become all-knowing? Will this illusory person, having trained in the unique Buddha-dharmas, become all-knowing? Will he attain all-knowingness? Blessed One, if asked in this way, how should I explain it?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, therefore, ask yourself, and answer as you see fit. Subhuti, what do you think? Is form different from illusion? Is feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness different from illusion?" He replied: "Blessed One, it is not like that." The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, what do you think? Is the eye different from illusion? Are the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind different from illusion? Is form different from illusion? Are sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharma different from illusion? Is eye-consciousness different from illusion? Are ear-consciousness, nose-consciousness, tongue-consciousness, body-consciousness, and mind-consciousness different from illusion?"

Do you think so? Is the touch arising from the meeting of the eye also something else, and is illusion also something else? Is the touch arising from the meeting of the ear, the touch arising from the meeting of the nose, the touch arising from the meeting of the tongue, the touch arising from the meeting of the body, and the touch arising from the meeting of the mind also something else, and is illusion also something else?
