Chapter Thirty: The Section on Non-Objectification, Upper Part. Chapter Thirty: The Section on Non-Objectification, Upper Part. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, thought to himself: "Those sons and daughters of good families who hear this Perfection of Wisdom have paid homage to the Buddhas of the past. Those sentient beings who hear this Perfection of Wisdom have planted roots of virtue with the Tathāgatas. Those sentient beings who hear this Perfection of Wisdom have been taken care of by virtuous friends. What need is there to mention those who hold, recite, master, and properly attend to, remember, recite, and master this Perfection of Wisdom with joy? Any son or daughter of good family who hears this Perfection of Wisdom and is not afraid, not alarmed, and not terrified has paid homage to many Tathāgatas, Arhats, and Perfectly Awakened Buddhas of the past. Any son or daughter of good family who hears this Perfection of Wisdom and is not afraid, not alarmed, and not terrified has fully inquired and fully asked the Tathāgatas, Arhats, and Perfectly Awakened Buddhas of the past. Any son or daughter of good family who hears this Perfection of Wisdom and is not afraid, not alarmed, and not terrified, and who, having heard it, holds, recites, masters, and properly attends to it, has practiced the Perfection of Giving for many hundreds of thousands of eons, has practiced the Perfection of Morality, has practiced the Perfection of Patience, has practiced the Perfection of Diligence, has practiced the Perfection of Meditation, and has practiced the Perfection of Wisdom." Thinking thus, the venerable Śāradvatīputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, any son or daughter of good family who hears this profound Perfection of Wisdom and is not afraid,

They are not afraid or frightened, and after hearing it, they can remember and uphold it, read and widely explain it to others, and properly contemplate it. Such individuals should be regarded as equal to irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. Why is that? Because, Bhagavan, this profound Prajnaparamita, if one has not previously practiced the Paramita of Giving, the Paramita of Ethics, the Paramita of Patience, the Paramita of Diligence, the Paramita of Meditation, and the Paramita of Wisdom, then even hearing this profound Prajnaparamita, one will not be able to believe in it. Bhagavan, if any son or daughter of good family, after hearing this profound Prajnaparamita, thinks of abandoning it, then in their past lives they must have also abandoned this profound Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Because when this profound Prajnaparamita is being taught, these sons or daughters of good family do not have faith or belief. These sons or daughters of good family in their past lives also did not make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and the Shravakas. How could they have practiced the Paramita of Giving? How could they have practiced the Paramita of Ethics? How could they have practiced the Paramita of Patience? How could they have practiced the Paramita of Diligence? How could they have practiced the Paramita of Meditation? How could they have practiced the Paramita of Wisdom? How could they have meditated on inner emptiness? How could they have meditated on outer emptiness? How could they have meditated on inner and outer emptiness? How could they have meditated on emptiness of emptiness? How could they have meditated on great emptiness? How could they have meditated on ultimate emptiness? How could they have meditated on conditioned emptiness? How could they have meditated on unconditioned emptiness? How could they have meditated on emptiness beyond extremes? How could they have meditated on
