讲解而开显，分别而阐明，并且显现，如实地指示，这样做之后，这样说：“善男子，你应当受持般若波罗蜜多，应当完全通达，应当读诵，应当精熟，应当如理作意，对于如所宣说的般若波罗蜜多应当精勤。”如果这样劝导，那么他的福德会大大增长。这是什么缘故呢？ 憍尸迦，因为从这般若波罗蜜多中会产生阿罗汉们。憍尸迦，且不说将三千大千世界的有情安置于阿罗汉果位，如果在十方，每一方都有恒河沙数的世界，其中的所有有情，如果他们被某位善男子或善女子安置于阿罗汉果位。憍尸迦，你对此怎么想？那位善男子或善女子的福德，因此会大大增长吗？回答说：世尊，是的，很多。善逝，是的，很多。世尊说：憍尸迦，相比之下，任何善男子或善女子，如果对他人广说、指示、讲解、开显、分别、阐明、并且显现这具有意义和文字的般若波罗蜜多，并且这样劝导：“善男子，你应当受持般若波罗蜜多，应当完全通达，应当读诵，应当精熟，应当如理作意，对于如所宣说的般若波罗蜜多应当精勤。”那么他的福德会大大增长。这是什么缘故呢？憍尸迦，因为从这般若波罗蜜多中会产生阿罗汉们。憍尸迦，此外，如果赡部洲的所有有情，被某位善男子或善女子安置于自菩提果位。憍尸迦，你对此怎么想？那位善男子或善女子的福德，因此会大大增长吗？回答说：世尊，是的，很多。善逝，是的，很多。世尊说：憍尸迦，相比之下，任何善男子或善女子

Having explained, revealed, distinguished, clarified, and accurately indicated it, and having done so, saying, "Noble son, you should uphold the Prajñāpāramitā, you should fully understand it, you should recite it, you should master it, you should properly apply your mind to it, you should be diligent in the Prajñāpāramitā as it is proclaimed." If one exhorts in this way, then their merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, because from this Prajñāpāramitā, Arhats will arise. Kauśika, let alone placing the sentient beings of the three-thousand great-thousand world system in the state of Arhatship, if in the ten directions, each direction having world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, all the sentient beings therein, if they are placed in the state of Arhatship by a certain noble son or noble daughter. Kauśika, what do you think of that? Would the merit of that noble son or noble daughter greatly increase because of that? He replied: Blessed One, yes, much. Sugata, yes, much. The Blessed One said: Kauśika, compared to that, any noble son or noble daughter who extensively speaks, indicates, explains, reveals, distinguishes, clarifies, and manifests this Prajñāpāramitā that is endowed with meaning and letters to others, and exhorts in this way: "Noble son, you should uphold the Prajñāpāramitā, you should fully understand it, you should recite it, you should master it, you should properly apply your mind to it, you should be diligent in the Prajñāpāramitā as it is proclaimed." Then their merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, because from this Prajñāpāramitā, Arhats will arise. Kauśika, furthermore, if all the sentient beings of Jambudvipa are placed in the state of self-awakening by a certain noble son or noble daughter. Kauśika, what do you think of that? By extensively speaking, teaching, explaining, elucidating, distinguishing, clarifying, and rightly instructing others about this Perfection of Wisdom with meaning and letters, and exhorting them thus: 'Son of good family, hold this Perfection of Wisdom, comprehend it, diligently practice it, master it, properly attend to it, and be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom as taught,' then that merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, from this Perfection of Wisdom, the Pratyekabuddhas arise. Kauśika, let alone establishing the beings of Jambudvipa in Pratyekabuddha enlightenment, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish the beings of the four great continents' world in Pratyekabuddha enlightenment, Kauśika, what do you think? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly because of that? He replied: Blessed One, it would be very much. Sugata, it would be very much. The Blessed One said: Kauśika, even more than that, if a son or daughter of good family were to extensively speak, teach, explain, elucidate, distinguish, clarify, and rightly instruct others about this Perfection of Wisdom with meaning and letters, and exhorting them thus: 'Son of good family, hold this Perfection of Wisdom, comprehend it, diligently practice it, master it, properly attend to it, and be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom as taught,' then that merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, from this Perfection of Wisdom, the Pratyekabuddhas arise.
