If a Bhikshuni touches, it does not become a Sanghavasesa. If a Bhikshuni abandons her vows and then touches, it becomes a Sanghavasesa. If a Bhikshu uses it, it does not become a Sanghavasesa. Is there anything that causes a fall, but that same thing does not cause a fall? The Blessed One said: Yes. If a Bhikshuni intentionally ejaculates semen, it will cause a fall. If a Bhikshu ejaculates, it will not cause a fall. If a Bhikshu begs for edible and drinkable things from a non-relative, it will cause a fall. If a Bhikshuni begs, it will not cause a fall. If a Bhikshuni urinates or defecates on green grass, it will cause a fall. If a Bhikshu does this, it will not cause a fall. Is there anything that causes a confession, but that same thing does not cause a confession? The Blessed One said: If a Bhikshuni begs for edible and drinkable things from a non-relative, it will cause a confession. If a Bhikshu begs, it will not cause the offense of confession. If a Bhikshu begs for edible and drinkable things with his own hands from a village where the precepts of training are established, it will cause a confession. If a Bhikshuni begs, it will not cause a confession. Is there anything that causes a wrong action, but that same thing does not cause a wrong action? The Blessed One said: If a Bhikshu urinates or defecates on green grass, it will cause a wrong action. If a Bhikshuni does this, it will not cause a wrong action. If a Bhikshuni covers her waist with her lower garment, it will cause a wrong action. Even if a Bhikshu covers his waist with his lower garment, there is no offense. Is there anything that does not cause a fall if one thinks one has left (the Sangha), and that causes one to leave (the Sangha) if one thinks one has fallen? The Blessed One said: Yes. For example, if a Bhikshu commits a Sanghavasesa offense, and while performing the karma of expulsion for him, he sits wearing shoes, sits with his hands embracing both knees, covers his head, cuts green grass, or draws lines on the ground, the offense that arises from these actions is like this: thinking that one has left (the Sangha) causes the offense to arise.

If one leaves thinking they have committed an offense, what is the reason for that? It is like this: if a monk thinks he has committed a Sanghavasesa offense, and discord has arisen, then he changes his name, and having changed his name, he goes to a nun. Thus, it is because he thinks he has committed an offense that he leaves. Is it possible to be cut off even if one thinks the boundary has been lifted? The Blessed One said: Yes, even if the boundary of the karma is lifted, one will still be cut off by the boundary of the town. What is it that follows after following? The Blessed One said: It is the boundary. Is it possible for a monk to commit five kinds of offenses? The Blessed One said: Yes, if he makes clothes for a woman, he will commit a minor offense. If he begs for food and drink with his own hands in a town where the precepts have been established, he will fall separately. If he teaches the Dharma to a woman with more than five or six sentences, he will fall. If he speaks harsh words to a woman, he will commit a Sanghavasesa offense. If he speaks to a woman about a Dharma that is non-existent and superior to humans, he will commit a Parajika offense. Monks, if we have a question about the Vinaya, where should we look for the answer? The Blessed One said: From the two Pratimoksha, and from the divisions and establishments. From the eighteen objects of the Vinaya, the two individual topics, and the lineages that are more than one Vinaya, the common and the uncommon, and from the things that have changed names from the earth and the sky. Blessed One, what is it that does not belong to all beings, nor to the teachings, nor is it the complete Nirvana of the teachings, nor will it be completely Nirvana? The Blessed One said: Upali, that is an emanation. If one kills him, what offense will be committed? The Blessed One said: A grave offense. If one kills him, what offense should one confess? The Blessed One said: A grave offense. In the sacred text of the Vinaya, the subject of discussion is completed. The sacred text of the Vinaya, explaining the subject of discussion.
