It should be carefully examined before accepting. A householder's son left clothes on the road and played. After playing, he went home. A monk was looking for clothes in the garbage heap and came to that place. He saw the clothes and took them away. A woman also came out of that house, and she also saw the monk and said, 'Monk, don't steal clothes!' The monk said, 'I found it when I was looking for clothes in the garbage heap.' The woman said, 'My son forgot the clothes while playing and went home.' The monk said, 'If it's yours, take it.' The monk felt remorseful, and the Blessed One taught, 'It should be carefully examined before accepting.' A monk hid the clothes in the garbage heap and went to beg for alms in the Sangha. Another monk was also looking for clothes in the garbage heap and came to that place. He saw the clothes and washed them. The monk looked for the clothes in the garbage heap and couldn't find them. He saw the monk washing the clothes and said, 'Venerable, you have committed the Parajika offense.' 'Why? Because you took this clothes from my garbage heap without permission.' The monk said, 'I didn't know that this clothes had an owner.' The monk felt remorseful, and the Blessed One taught, 'There is no offense, it should be carefully examined before accepting.' Those monks were holding the clothes in the garbage heap that had been touched by unclean things, and the minor gods ridiculed them. The Blessed One taught, 'The clothes in the garbage heap should be thoroughly washed and carefully mended before wearing. Monks should not hold the clothes in the garbage heap that have been touched by unclean things. Whoever holds them commits a Dukata offense.' Those monks took clothes from a cemetery with owners, and the wicked people were unhappy and said, 'All the things we do are for these (dead people), don't steal clothes from here!' The Blessed One taught, 'Do not take clothes from a cemetery with owners. If you take them, you will commit a grave offense.' Not far from the cemetery, there is a heretical temple,

Once upon a time, a piece of cloth was blown by the wind and fell into a cemetery. A monk, searching for cloth in a pile of refuse, came to the cemetery, found the cloth, picked it up, and took it away. Those living in the heretical temple saw this and seized him, saying, "This cloth of mine fell from the heretical temple into the cemetery. Do not steal this cloth!" The monk said, "If it is yours, take it back." The monk felt remorse, and the Blessed One instructed, "Carefully examine whether there is another owner before enjoying it." Sanskrit Romanization: Sarva Maṅgalaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: All auspiciousness) Explanation of the method of subduing, upper part.
