Then that deceiver said: Noble one, your virtue is completely decayed, which means my affairs are completely decayed, for my sake, I will also leave, now I leave. Good-faced one, so be it. That deceiver prostrated at the feet of that old practitioner and left, and then that deceiver arrived at those robbers and said: Those with honeycomb eyes, a large ship filled with all kinds of goods is on land, rob it! Rob it! Then one of them said: The sixty renunciates residing there are said to be wrestling teachers, so we cannot defeat them in that way, let's defeat them when they listen to the Dharma at night. Others said: On what day will they listen to the Dharma? He said: On the eighth and fourteenth, but the eighth has already passed, so the fourteenth will come. As soon as they entered, they began to destroy. The monks said: Wise ones, you said that you were sons of good families, but now you are destroying us? They said: Venerable ones, we have two names. Outwardly, we are sons of good families, but inwardly, we are thieves. The matter of giving you names is over. Those deceitful ones destroyed those monks, and after destroying the monks from the root, they deliberated: Venerable ones, the Blessed One has said that we should completely destroy what remains. For the time being, what should we do with the alms given by this householder to the Sangha of monks in the four directions? What should we do with the alms given to us? If we go to Śrāvastī, there, those who practice the same Brahmacharya as us will help us with robes, so that we will not be impoverished. They deliberated in this way. How should we go?
