I also thought: If some unbelieving householders, or householder's attendants, or householder's sons see this, they will think: This noble Śrīka, together with the householder's attendant, in a secluded place, not like the behavior of a practitioner, did some evil deeds? Or intend to do? In the end, they will be blamed. Therefore, this is what I should do. When thinking like this, for the sake of the monks, the Blessed One, out of compassion, if the noble ones and women together, in a secluded place, do not sit on the seat, but let the noble ones remember something, that would be great. The Blessed One did not say anything to the virtuous female layperson, indicating permission. Then, the virtuous female layperson knew that the Blessed One's silence meant permission, and bowed to the Blessed One's feet with her head, then stood up from her seat and left. Then, the Blessed One, because of this incident, this origin, at this time, convened the monastic community of monks. As said before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, knowingly commit offenses, called "breaking precepts" and so on, also as said before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked the monk Śrīka: "Śrīka, is it true that you did such a bad thing?" The monk replied: "Yes." The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked: "This is not the behavior of a practitioner, not in accordance, not appropriate, not in accordance with the rules, this is not what a renunciant should do." Then, the Blessed One, after rebuking in various ways, said to the monks: "Monks, therefore,

Any of these is acceptable. 'Offense' refers to any of the ninety. For example, a laywoman with faith, who is not skilled in offenses, not skilled in the origin of offenses, and not skilled in the causes that provoke offenses, therefore, she causes a bhikkhuni to speak of the superior qualities of humans, or to be on the same seat with women, or to touch each other with their bodies, or to eat together in one vessel, or to drink various beverages together in one bowl, or to dig the earth, or to cut green grass, or to eat at the wrong time, and any other actions that are considered sinful and accompanied by transgression, whatever she has promised, she causes her to do. 'Causes her to do' means causes her to accomplish it. 'This is also an undetermined dharma' means that this is also a dharma that has not been specifically defined. The specific regulations for offenses, and the giving of offerings to seek their essence, and the dharma of use given to seek their essence, should be understood as before. The two undetermined dharmas are complete. Explanation of the Undetermined Dharmas.
