The Undecided Dharma Discourse. The Undecided Dharma Discourse. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Park, in Shravasti. Then, the venerable Ashvajit, having dressed in the morning, taking his bowl and robes, entered Shravasti for alms, and gradually, while wandering for alms in Shravasti, went to the house of the householder's wife, Sbed ma. The householder's wife, Sbed ma, saw the venerable Ashvajit from afar. Having seen him, she prepared a seat for the venerable Ashvajit and said these words: "Venerable Ashvajit, please come here. Venerable Ashvajit, welcome. Venerable Ashvajit, please sit on the seat that has been prepared." The venerable Ashvajit sat on the prepared seat. Then, the householder's wife, Sbed ma, bowed her head to the two feet of the venerable Ashvajit, knelt on both knees, and sat down to listen to the Dharma. The venerable Ashvajit began to teach her pleasant Dharma. At that time, Ma saga of the Deer Park house, walking in the vicinity of that area, Ma saga of the Deer Park, in the house of the householder's wife, Sbed ma, heard the sound of the venerable Ashvajit's voice. Having heard it, she thought to herself: "Alas, the noble Ashvajit, with the sound of his voice, like a bee extracting honey, teaches pleasant Dharma to the householder's wife, Sbed ma. I too shall go to listen to the Dharma taught by another." Then, Ma saga of the Deer Park went to the house of the householder's wife, Sbed ma, and Ma saga of the Deer Park saw the householder's wife, Sbed ma, kneeling on both knees before the two knees of the venerable Ashvajit, sitting to listen to the Dharma. Having seen it, she thought to herself: "If the householder, or the householder's wife, or the householder's son, some unbelieving person, were to see this, they would undoubtedly think that the noble Ashvajit and the householder's wife, Sbed ma, together, in a secluded place, have done or are doing some unrighteous, sinful deed. Therefore, this is my business."

Then, the mother Saga of Mrigadava went to where the Blessed One was, and having gone there, she bowed her head at the two feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the mother Saga of Mrigadava said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable, in the thicket of the householder's hidden dwelling, I heard the sound of the voice of the venerable Charka. Having heard it, I thought to myself: 'Alas, the noble Charka, like a bee extracting honey from the householder's hidden dwelling, expounds pleasing and delightful Dharma. I also went to listen to the Dharma composed by others.' When I arrived at the thicket of the householder's hidden dwelling, I saw that Charka had entrusted the householder's hidden dwelling to two daughters. Having seen this, I thought to myself: 'If now the householder, or the householder's dwelling, or the householder's daughter, some unbeliever, were to see this, they would ultimately think that the noble Charka, together with the householder's hidden dwelling, is living in seclusion, and has committed some sinful act that is not in accordance with the conduct of a renunciate.' Therefore, I think that this is what I should do. Venerable, therefore, for the sake of the Blessed One's compassion, if the noble ones are with women, alone and in seclusion, please make some arrangements so that the noble ones do not sit on the seat, and that they may have some mindfulness. That would be excellent." The Blessed One did not say anything to the mother Saga of Mrigadava, and gave his consent. Then, the mother Saga of Mrigadava, knowing that the Blessed One had given his consent by not speaking, bowed her head at the two feet of the Blessed One, rose from her seat, and departed. Then, the Blessed One dealt with this event, the topic, and the occasion of the Sangha gathering of monks, as before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, knowingly commit offenses, etc., also as before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, to the venerable
