ར་དུ་དེས་བལྟས་ན་ཤིང་རྟ་རྣ་ཞིག་ཡོད་པ་དེའི་ཤར་གྱི་ངོས་སུ་གཉའ་ཤིང་གང་གཅའ་ཏེ་བརྐོས་པ་དང་། ཅི་ཙམ་ན་གསེར་གྱི་བུམ་པ་མགུལ་མུ་ཏིག་གི་ཕྲེང་བས་བཅིངས་པ་ཞིག་མཐོང་ནས། དེ་མགུ་བས་དེ་བླངས་ནས་ཁྱིམ་དུ་སོང་སྟེ་མུ་ཏིག་གི་ཕྲེང་བ་ནི་བཀྲོལ་ཏེ་གདུ་བུ་ཅན་ལ་བྱིན་ནོ། །དགེ་སློང་དག་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ཀྱི་ཁྱིམ་བདག་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ནི་ང་ཉིད་ཡིན་ནོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ཀྱི་དེའི་བུ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ནི་འཚོ་བྱེད་འདི་ཉིད་ཡིན་ཏེ། དེ་ན་ཡང་འདིས་ངའི་བསམས་ཏེ་ སྨྲས་པ་ཤེས་སོ། །ད་ལྟར་ཡང་འདིས་ངའི་དགོངས་ཏེ་བཤད་པ་ཤེས་སོ། །འཚོ་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་བསམས་པ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ནི་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐུ་མངའ་ལ་སྐུ་ཆེ་བ་ཡིན་པས་དེ་ལ་མར་ཉུང་དུས་ནི་གདངས་པར་བྱ་མི་ནུས་སོ་སྙམ་དུ་བརྟགས་ནས་དེས་མར་སྲང་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་སྲད་ལ་བཅལ་ཏེ་ལྷུང་བཟེད་བཟེད་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་ཏེ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ལྷུང་བཟེད་ཀྱི་ལྷག་མ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ལ་འབྲིམ་དུ་བཅུག་པ་དང་། འཚོ་བྱེད་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ལྷུང་བཟེད་ཀྱི་ལྷག་མ་བོར་རོ་ཞེས་བྱས་ནས་ཕྱག་བྱས་སོ། །ལྷ་སྦྱིན་གྱིས་བསམས་པ། བདག་གིས་ཀྱང་མར་བཏུང་ངོ་སྙམ་ནས་དེས་འཚོ་བྱེད་ལ་དྲིས་པ། འཚོ་བྱེད་དགེ་སྦྱོང་གཽ་ཏ་མས་མར་ཇི་ཙམ་གྱི་ཚད་ཅིག་གསོལ། དེས་སྨྲས་པ། སྲང་སུམ་བཅུ་སོ་གཉིས་སོ། །དེས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁོ་བོས་ཀྱང་སྲང་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་བཏུང་ངོ་། །འཚོ་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ནི་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐུ་མངའ་ལ་སྐུ་ཆེ་བས་འདི་ཙམ་ཡང་འཇུ་བར་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ནི་འཇུ་བར་མི་ནུས་སོ། །དེས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁོ་བོ་ཡང་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ལུསཅན་ཡིན་ན་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་མི་འཇུ། དེས་མར་སྲང་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ལྷུང་བཟེད་ནས་འཐུངས་སོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ནི་ལེགས་པར་ཞུའོ། །ལྷ་སྦྱིན་གྱིས་ནི་མ་ཞུའོ། །ཕྱི་དེ་ཉིན་པར་འཚོ་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་འཇམས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །ལྷ་སྦྱིན་གྱིས་ང་རྒྱལ་བསྐྱེད་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་གསོལ་ཏོ་ཞེས་མར་མ་ཞུ་བཞིན་དུ་ཐུག་པ་འཐུངས་པས། སྤོས་གཟེར་ནས་གནད་དུ་གནོད་པའི་ཚོར་བ་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བས་དེ་རྒྱུ་དེས་ན་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཉམ་ང་བརྩུབ་པ། དོག་པ། ཡིད་དུ་མི་འོང་བའི་ཚོར་བ་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་ཞིང་ཉིན་དང་མཚན་དུ་གཉིད་མི་འོང་ངོ་། །ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་བ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ནི་གཉེན་ལ་གདུང་བ་ཡིན་པས་དེས་གླེང་གཞི་དེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་ཏོ། །དེ

那人看到一辆马车，在那马车的东面，轭被雕刻得很好。过了一会儿，他看到一个金瓶，瓶颈上系着一串珍珠。他很高兴，拿走了金瓶，回到家中，解开珍珠项链，送给了他的妻子。比丘们，你们怎么想？当时的那个施主就是我。当时的那个儿子就是现在的耆婆。那时，他就知道我在想什么而说话。现在，他也知道我在想什么而说话。耆婆心想：世尊拥有金刚之身，身体高大，不能让他吃少量的酥油。于是他量了三十二两酥油，装在钵里，供养了世尊。世尊让比丘们分发钵里的剩余物。耆婆和比丘们向世尊顶礼，因为世尊倒掉了钵里的剩余物。提婆达多心想：我也要喝酥油。于是他问耆婆：耆婆，乔达摩沙门吃了多少酥油？耆婆说：三十二两。提婆达多说：我也要喝三十二两。耆婆说：世尊拥有金刚之身，身体高大，能消化这么多，你消化不了。提婆达多说：我也是金刚之身，为什么不能消化？他从钵里喝了三十二两酥油。世尊消化得很好，提婆达多却没有消化。第二天，耆婆给世尊供养了软食。提婆达多生起傲慢心，心想世尊也吃了，就在酥油没有消化的情况下喝了粥。因为肠胃不适，感受到了剧烈的疼痛，因此感受到了痛苦、恐惧、粗糙、令人不快的感受，日夜无法入睡。具寿阿难陀因为对亲属的悲悯，向世尊禀告了这件事。

He was delighted, took the golden vase, went home, untied the pearl necklace, and gave it to his wife. Monks, what do you think? The householder at that time was me. The son at that time was this Jivaka. At that time, he knew what I was thinking and spoke. Now, he also knows what I am thinking and speaks. Jivaka thought: The Blessed One has a vajra body and is tall, so he cannot be given a small amount of ghee. So he measured thirty-two srangs of ghee, put it in a bowl, and offered it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One had the remaining contents of the bowl distributed to the monks. Jivaka and the monks bowed to the Blessed One because the Blessed One had poured out the remaining contents of the bowl. Devadatta thought: I will also drink ghee. So he asked Jivaka: Jivaka, how much ghee did the ascetic Gautama eat? Jivaka said: Thirty-two srangs. Devadatta said: I will also drink thirty-two srangs. Jivaka said: The Blessed One has a vajra body and is tall, so he can digest this much, but you cannot digest it. Devadatta said: I am also a vajra body, why can't I digest it? He drank thirty-two srangs of ghee from the bowl. The Blessed One digested it well, but Devadatta did not digest it. The next day, Jivaka offered soft food to the Blessed One. Devadatta became arrogant, thinking that the Blessed One had also eaten, and drank porridge while the ghee had not yet been digested. Because of intestinal discomfort, he experienced severe pain, and therefore experienced painful, fearful, rough, and unpleasant feelings, and could not sleep day and night. The venerable Ananda, out of compassion for his relatives, reported this matter to the Blessed One.

然后，世尊的手，如象鼻一般，具有法轮、吉祥和右旋海螺的标志，由无数的福德所成就，是能解除一切怖畏的手，显现地伸出，从鹫峰山的石窟中放在提婆达多的头顶上，说了真实语。如果我像对待我唯一的儿子，声音美妙的罗睺罗一样对待提婆达多，没有丝毫的增减，以此真实语愿能平息他的疾病。刚一说完这句真实语，提婆达多的疾病就平息了，他从昏厥中苏醒过来，把手放在世尊的手上，仔细观察后，心想：这是沙门乔达摩的手啊。他心想，这是经过无数劫的邪恶行为和傲慢所成就的想法。因此，伟大的佛陀感受到了他的四种感受，并说道：善男子，你精通医术，但你能救活他吗？普遍认为，是世尊的真实语，使提婆达多这个恶毒的商人，在生命垂危之际得以痊愈。提婆达多一方极其执着的人们也听到了这个声音，他们对世尊惊叹道：啊呀，他是如此的慈悲！啊呀，他对众生是如此的慈悲！比丘们对提婆达多说：提婆达多，你是被世尊救活的，否则你早就没命了。他说：他精通控制的幻术，他以此控制世界。比丘们说：提婆达多，放弃那种自夸吧，让你的心平静下来！你是被世尊救活的。他说：只是用酥油治好了病而已，他对我做了什么？这是个不知感恩、毫无感觉的人。说完这些，他们就离开了，来到世尊所在的地方，心生疑惑。为了断除一切疑惑，他们向佛陀世尊禀告：

Then, the Blessed One's hand, like an elephant's trunk, bearing the marks of the wheel, auspicious signs, and the right-spiraling conch, accomplished by hundreds of thousands of merits, the hand that dispels all fears, manifestly extended from the Vulture Peak's cave and placed upon Devadatta's head, and spoke the truth. 'If I regard Devadatta just as I regard my only son, the excellent Rahula with the beautiful voice, without any increase or decrease, by this truth may his illness be pacified.' As soon as this statement of truth was uttered, Devadatta's illness was pacified, and he revived from his faint. He placed his hand upon the Blessed One's hand, examined it carefully, and thought, 'This is the hand of the Shramana Gautama.' He thought, 'This is a thought accomplished by the power of pride, practicing evil deeds for countless eons.' Therefore, the Great Buddha perceived his four feelings and said: 'Son of good family, you are well-versed in medicine, but can you revive him?' It is universally believed that it was the Blessed One's truthful words that healed Devadatta, the wicked merchant, when he was on the verge of death. Those who were extremely devoted to Devadatta also heard this sound, and they marveled at the Blessed One, saying: 'Alas, he is endowed with perfect loving-kindness!' 'Alas, he has perfectly cultivated compassion for sentient beings!' The monks said to Devadatta: 'Devadatta, you were revived by the Blessed One, otherwise you would have lost your life.' He said: 'He knows the magic of control, and he controls the world with it.' The monks said: 'Devadatta, abandon that boasting and settle your mind! You were healed by the Blessed One.' He said: 'He merely cured the illness with clarified butter; what did he do for me? This is an ungrateful and insensitive person.' Having said this, they departed and went to where the Blessed One was, and doubts arose in their minds. In order to dispel all doubts, they reported to the Buddha, the Blessed One:
