The Section on Liberating All. The Section on Liberating All. Great King, furthermore, I performed acts of generosity and merit in order to seek unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Listen to what that was. Great King, in the town called All in the city of All, a king named Friend of All ruled the kingdom, possessing wealth, prosperity, happiness, good harvests, being filled with people and many beings, from the complete pacification of fighting, quarreling, bloodshed, and conflicts, to ruling the kingdom according to Dharma, as before. At another time, he would play with the queen, be happy, and enjoy pleasure. As he played, was happy, and enjoyed pleasure, at another time the queen became pregnant, and after eight or nine months, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, beautiful, pleasing to behold, with skin the color of gold, a head like an umbrella, long arms, a broad chest, arched eyebrows, and a high nose, until he became learned in the five sciences, as before. The youth, named Liberator of All, had good faith, a virtuous mind, engaged in benefiting himself and others, was compassionate, magnanimous, desired the Dharma, was loving towards beings, generous in giving all, generous in giving away all, giving without attachment, and engaged in great giving. Hearing of his great generosity, people came even from a hundred leagues away seeking it, and all had their wishes fulfilled and were given gifts. Then, at one time, the Bodhisattva rode in a chariot adorned with jewels, gold, silver, diamonds, lapis lazuli, conch shells, ruby lotuses, and sapphires, made from the essence of the finest sandalwood, covered with the skins of lions, tigers, and leopards, with horses as swift as the wind, and gold and silver bells ringing with a tinkling sound. He entered this excellent four-horse chariot and went forth from the sacred city to the garden. Then, Brahmins skilled in the Vedas and the branches of the Vedas

Some people went forward to greet Sarvasamtrata and said: "Young prince, may you be victorious!" They also said: "You are known throughout the world as the one who gives everything." This chariot, you should give as alms to the Brahmins. After they said this, the Bodhisattva Sarvasamtrata quickly descended from that chariot, his heart filled with joy and satisfaction, and with great delight, he gave the chariot to those Brahmins, and then said: "Just as I have given the chariot to the Brahmins with great joy, may I likewise relinquish the three realms of existence and attain supreme enlightenment!" Vinaya-vastu, Volume 46. At another time, there was a supreme elephant named "Royal Prosperity," whose color was like the Kunda flower, the Kumuda flower, snow, silver, and white clouds. Its seven parts were well-formed, and its limbs were well-placed. The elephant walked with the majesty of a son of the earth-protector, adorned with excellent natural marks. Those who saw him rode on auspicious mares, and very lovely servants, friends, and attendants followed behind, like the moon surrounded by a host of stars. As the summer season arrived, the trees blossomed with flowers, and swans, cranes, peacocks, parrots, partridges, cuckoos, and mynah birds made their sounds. Thus, they went to the pleasure garden in the forest. Then, some Brahmins hidden by the heretics quickly came to the presence of the youth Sarvasamtrata and said: "Young prince, may you be victorious!" They also said: "In the world of gods and non-gods, you are known as the one who gives everything. This supreme elephant of yours, you should bestow upon us." After they said this, the Bodhisattva quickly descended from that supreme elephant, and with a mind of joy, satisfaction, and great delight, he gave that supreme elephant to them, and then said: "Just as I have given the elephant to the Brahmins with great joy, may I likewise relinquish the three realms of existence and attain supreme enlightenment!" King Sarvamitra said, "Your son Sarvasamtrata has given away the supreme elephant named 'Royal Prosperity.'"
