The future of the earth will be Nyesé. That dancing hero will have a cave eighteen cubits long, twelve cubits wide, and seven cubits high. He will impart instructions to whomever he teaches, and those who have directly realized Arhatship will each throw a toothpick about four fingers long into that cave. When that cave is filled with the toothpicks of Arhats, Nyesé will completely pass into Nirvana. After he has completely passed into Nirvana, he will pile up those toothpicks of Arhats and burn them. The monks became doubtful and asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan, who cuts off all doubts. "Venerable One, the Bhagavan, saw the prophecy of Nyesé, who will be compassionate and long-lived to many beings in the future." The Bhagavan said, "Monks, not only at that time, listen carefully and remember well how he acted in the past to benefit many beings. Monks, in the past, on three sides of this very mountain called Riwotse Ten, lived solitary Buddhas, hermits, and monkeys. On one side lived five hundred solitary Buddhas, on the second side lived five hundred hermits, and on the third side lived five hundred monkeys. The habit of the leader of the monkey troop was to kill all newborn monkeys. Then, those female monkeys, overwhelmed by the grief of losing their children, began to discuss with each other: 'Listen, wise female monkeys! This leader kills all our newborn children, so we must devise a way to deal with him. Whichever of us female monkeys becomes pregnant, we must not tell the leader.' After some time, a female monkey became pregnant, and they hid her in a secluded place, nourishing her with roots and fruits. After the baby monkey was born, they also hid him in a secluded place and carefully raised him. When he grew up, he drove that leader out of his own group and began to wander around on Mount Riwotse Ten. As he wandered, he heard the sound of the solitary Buddhas, and so he...

Then it went to them. When it was comfortable with them, it would offer them roots, leaves, flowers, fruits, and twigs. They would also throw the leftovers from their bowls to it. The usual practice of those Pratyekabuddhas was to sit in the lotus position after eating. The monkey also saw their behavior and sat in the lotus position. After some time, those Pratyekabuddhas thought, "We have already obtained what is to be obtained by this purulent body of ours. Let us enter the realm of peaceful Nirvana." Then, they performed miracles of burning, shining, raining, and lightning, and finally completely passed into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder. When it was time for them to get up, they did not get up, and the monkey became unhappy because it did not see them. After some time, the monkey entered the cave and began to tear the Dharma robes of those Pratyekabuddhas. Then, the deity dwelling in that cave thought, "It is not right for this monkey to destroy the bodies of the Pratyekabuddhas," and blocked the entrance with a large stone slab. After that, the monkey, sad and distressed, cried out and left, wandering all over the mountain peak, because it was unhappy with the absence of human desires, eager to listen, wanting to hear human voices. It heard the voices of those ascetics speaking, and like a lost guest, hurried to them. Those ascetics were also suffering from severe asceticism: some were standing with their hands raised, some on one foot, and some were suffering from the five fires. When the monkey was comfortable with them, it would give roots, leaves, flowers, fruits, and twigs to those ascetics. They would also throw the leftovers of food to it. It disturbed their behavior and demonstrated the behavior of the Pratyekabuddhas, where
