In the language of India: Āryasarvadurgatipariśodhani uṣṇīṣa vijayanāma dhāraṇī. In the Tibetan language: The Noble One Who Completely Purifies All Bad Destinies, the Dhāraṇī Called 'Victorious Topknot'. I prostrate to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Then, a certain son of the gods named Śīntu Bṛtanpa (Extremely Firm) was dwelling in the gathering place of the gods of the Thirty-Three. In the great palace of the gods, surrounded by great divine enjoyment and a great assembly of daughters of the gods, he was playing, rejoicing, and enjoying himself. While he was experiencing divine enjoyment, he heard a sound in the night: 'The son of the gods, Śīntu Bṛtanpa, will die in seven days. After he dies, he will be born in Jambudvīpa. There he will experience seven sufferings. After experiencing the seven sufferings, he will be born in the hells. Having arrived, he bowed to the feet of the Blessed One with his head, circumambulated seven times, and then sat down before the Blessed One, reporting in detail to the Blessed One the situation of those extremely steadfast seven kinds of sentient beings. As soon as the lord of the gods, Indra, reported those seven kinds of sentient beings, various rays of light emanated from the Blessed One's crown, illuminating all places in the ten directions of the world, and then returned, entering from the mouth of the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One smiled and said to the lord of the gods, Indra: Lord of the gods, the Dharani called "Crown Victory," which the Tathagata has empowered from the crown of his head, completely purifies all evil destinies, destroys all obstacles and painful rebirths, completely purifies the hells and animal realms of sentient beings, as well as the world of Yama, and places them on the path of good destinies. Lord of the gods, therefore, the Dharani called "Crown Victory," as soon as it is heard that it completely purifies all evil destinies, destroys the extremely numerous painful natures that cause obstacles. One will obtain a completely pure lineage. In all lifetimes, one will remember past lives. One will go from Buddha-field to Buddha-field. One will go from the realm of gods to the realm of gods, up to the thirty-two realms of the gods.

Just by reciting this name, the hells of sentient beings, the abodes of animals, the realm of Yama, and all regions will wither. They will be completely destroyed, completely scattered, completely eliminated, and become empty. In this way, the doors to all Buddha-fields, all heavens, and all Bodhisattva realms will be opened for them. They will be able to enter wherever they desire.
