Or, water should be fully recited and then given as alms. For diseases that spread throughout the body, cut with weapons and make protective cords. For stomachaches, alleviate with salt water, or with mud, or with water. For eye diseases, tie a white thread to the ear. For tooth diseases, brush teeth with a toothbrush made of Karavira wood. To create a boundary, recite the five-colored thread twenty-one times, then tie it to four Sengdeng wooden stakes and plant them in the four directions, thus completing the boundary. In all cases, one can use protective cords, water, or ashes. For all planets, use five-colored threads. For all plagues, use white threads. For snakes, insects, caterpillars, swelling, and throat obstruction, use honey and long pepper. For eye diseases, use fragrant water, turmeric water, honey, or licorice. In all times of disputes, for arguments and unpleasant words, fully recite water and wash the face. For harm from kings of other countries, place full vases around the country, then cleanly wear clean clothes, perform great offerings and recitations, and it will become very peaceful. Sprinkling with that water is protecting all sentient beings. All nearby harms and plagues will be pacified. Reciting twenty-one times on the dot of the sandalwood hand seal will exhaust all the five heinous crimes. Constant recitation will protect the household. The fire offering of lotuses will protect all sentient beings. The fire offering of sandalwood will protect from all planets, spirits, and constellations. Do. Without cliffs, even after decay, it can give a son. By holding this jewel, one is protected in all ways. Poison and fire cannot harm it. What is done by poison will not recur. Diseases will not arise and will quickly subside. The planets will be completely pacified. Wind, clouds, and hail are frozen by water. With the twig of Karapira, all actions are accomplished. Even without accomplishment, this supremely accomplished essence of Arya Avalokiteshvara accomplishes these actions. Then, if one wishes to accomplish, the ritual of the Thangka is to paint an equal image of the Buddha with all colors of paint. Arya Avalokiteshvara, wearing a crown of matted hair, with the lower body covered with deer skin, holding the attire of a herdsman, adorned with all ornaments. The artist should draw the picture with the conditions of fasting. Then, the practitioner should make a mandala with cow dung in front of the image, and spread white flowers. Eight vases filled with fragrant water should be placed. Eight items for near use, sixty-four items for near need, and bloodless torma with meat should be prepared. Burn Karu incense and recite eight thousand verses of wisdom. One should fast for one day and one night, or eat three white foods, and after bathing three times and wearing clean clothes, one should recite. Then, looking at the image drawn in front of the statue, one will be happy to see it. Until Arya Avalokiteshvara comes and fulfills all wishes. By fully reciting over camphor or eye medicine and applying it to the eyes, one will become invisible and be able to walk in the sky. One will attain the samadhi called "Assembly of Truth Without Confusion." Whatever the practitioner desires, he will do with this. Thus spoke the Bhagavan.
