Translated, are those demons? Or gods of the demonic class? Or those who have renounced? Or those who dwell in homes? Likewise, kings? Great ministers? Or householders, they cannot harm, making noises and creaking sounds. Then, the venerable Subhuti addressed the Blessed One thus: "Blessed One, such a Jewel Basket Sutra is difficult to obtain in the world. However, by the power of the Tathagata, such a Dharma appears in the world, and by the power of the Tathagata, those sentient beings also hear it." Then, the Blessed One extended his tongue and said to the venerable Ananda: "Ananda, hold this Dharma category, recite it, memorize it, and fully understand it." Then, the venerable Ananda circumambulated the Blessed One three times and addressed him thus: "Blessed One, I hold this Dharma category, and I will not abandon it in the future." After the Blessed One had spoken thus, that assembly of Bodhisattvas endowed with all, and the Bodhisattva, the noble Samantabhadra, and Manjushri, the youth, and the son of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, and other great Shravakas, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said.
