Then for six hundred years, the Dharma King (Dharmaraja) with glorious splendor, Moon-given and the Lord of the South, various forms and the Lord of Gods, the six successively preached the Dharma. Then, a hundred years later, in the Wood Mouse year, having gathered the Tantras and subdued the righteous ones, he established the Dharma of the Wheel of Time, appointed the White Lotus to the throne, and in the year that Mañjuśrī passed into peace. Then, a hundred years later, in the Wood Dragon year, having composed the Great Commentary, he passed into peace. Then, for seven hundred years, in Shambhala, the lineage of Mañjuśrī, eight generations have passed: White Lotus, the Noble Holder of Lineage, and the Subduing King, the Good Spiritual Friend, and Red Hand, the All-Pervading Hidden One, and Sun Fame and Extremely Good. Then, in that Wood Monkey year, in the land of Makha, the teachings of the Mlecchas flourished, and the heretical astrology was composed. The Lineage Holder, Ocean Victorious, ascended the throne that year. Then, one hundred and eighty-three years later, in the Fire Dog year, the Lineage Holder, Victorious over Enemies, was eighty-two years old at that time, and the practice of the Tantric astrology began. Then, two hundred and twenty-two years later, in the Fire Rabbit year, astrology flourished in India from Shambhala. The Tantric commentaries flourished earlier than this. The Mlecchas destroyed monasteries and academies. In the Water Rabbit year, eighteen years later, the Lineage Holder, Victorious over Enemies, passed into peace. Then, for five hundred years, not quite three years, the Lineage Holder, Sun of Various Forms, Moonlight and Infinite, and Earth Protector and Glorious Protector and Lion, showed the excellent Dharma and suppressed various things. In the Fire Monkey year, Lion ascended the throne. Above, in that Fire Rabbit year, after astrology flourished in India, seventy years later, in the Fire Dragon year, it is said that the great Paṇḍita Nāropa was born. Then, forty-five years later, in the Iron Mouse year, Marpa was born. Then, forty-one years later, in the Iron Dragon year, Milarepa was born. Then, forty years later, in the Earth Sheep year, The Unequaled Dagpo Lhaje was born. Then, six years later, in the Wood Ox year, Marpa passed away at the age of eighty-six.
