二十俱胝，无间地狱也是如此。其上有七层地狱，八者都胜过十六。那些的四方，有不息之火和腐尸泥沼，利刃路等河流。水泡狱等另有八寒地狱，复活狱等六种依次。与欲天昼夜相同，因此那些的寿命，与欲天相同。八十一卡尔的芝麻，每过一百年取出一粒，芝麻耗尽是水泡狱的寿命。下面的地狱依次递增二十倍。如是说。出自《安立世间品》。复活狱和黑绳狱，众合狱和叫唤、大叫唤狱，热地狱和极热地狱，显示难以解脱，日夜哀嚎，如鱼被丢在干地上，如象被标枪刺中。那个世界是地狱，众多众生无依怙，在火生的海洋中燃烧。如是说。经中说：身体非常大，感受粗重。有些自身如火焰般燃烧，有些进入燃烧的铁室中，有些四处逃窜并驱赶邪魔，有些在铁制的大器皿中，像煮饭一样被烹煮。有些被划上黑线后用锯子锯开，用可怕的利斧劈开。如是说。出自《亲友书》。众生造作恶业者，在复活狱、黑绳狱、极热狱和众合狱、叫唤狱、无间狱等，地狱中感受剧烈痛苦。如果一个人被五百短矛猛烈刺击，那是何等痛苦！那只是地狱痛苦中极小的一部分，连幻觉都不是，更无法忍受。见到、听到、忆念、阅读或描绘地狱，尚且会产生痛苦，更何况亲身感受那无法忍受的异熟果报呢？如是说。另一部经中说：热地狱极其难以忍受，此世间的火只是一点点火星，地狱的火是它的九倍热。坚硬的铁锤也被，瞬间融化如酥油。寒地狱极其难以忍受，此世间的风只是一点点微风，地狱的风是它的九倍寒冷。

On the four sides of those are unceasing fire and decaying corpse mire, rivers like razor paths. The blister hells and others are another eight cold hells, the reviving hells and others are six in order. The days and nights are the same as the desire gods, therefore the lifespan of those is the same as the desire gods. Eighty-one khals of sesame seeds, one seed is taken out every hundred years, the lifespan of the blister hell is when the sesame seeds are exhausted. The hells below increase twenty times in order. Thus it is said. From the "Establishing the World." The reviving hell and the black line hell, the crushing hell and the crying and great crying hells, the hot hell and the extremely hot hell, showing that it is difficult to be liberated, wailing day and night, like a fish thrown on dry land, like an elephant pierced by a javelin. That world is hell, many sentient beings without refuge, burning in the ocean of fire. Thus it is said. In the sutra it says: The body is very large, the feelings are coarse. Some themselves burn like a flame, some enter a burning iron chamber, some flee everywhere and drive away demons, some are cooked in a large iron vessel like boiling rice. Some are marked with black lines and then sawn apart, split open with terrible sharp axes. Thus it is said. From the "Friendly Letter." Sentient beings who commit evil deeds, in the reviving hell, black line hell, extremely hot hell, and crushing hell, crying hell, Avici hell, etc., experience intense suffering in the hells. If a person is fiercely stabbed by five hundred short spears, what suffering would that be! That is only a very small part of the suffering of hell, not even an illusion, let alone being able to endure it. Seeing, hearing, remembering, reading, or depicting hell, still causes suffering, what need is there to mention personally experiencing that unbearable ripening result? Thus it is said. Another sutra says: The hot hell is extremely unbearable, the fire of this world is only a spark, the fire of hell is nine times hotter. Even a solid iron hammer is, instantly melted like butter. The cold hell is extremely unbearable, the wind of this world is only a breeze, the wind of hell is nine times colder.

When the solid golden ball is transformed, it appears like a blue lotus in an instant. Thus it is said. The Vidyadhara Nagarjuna said: Such suffering is extremely unbearable. Even if one experiences it hundreds of thousands of billions of times, as long as that non-virtue is not exhausted, one will not be separated from life. Thus it is said. Padmasambhava said: The place of hell is beneath the earth of Jambudvipa. Twenty thousand yojanas from Mount Kailash (Mount Tise), there is the place of the great hells of sentient beings. The iron house, its walls and width, are twenty thousand yojanas by twenty thousand yojanas. Above that is the base of the eight hot hells. The extremely hot hell and the hot hell, the great wailing hell and the small wailing hell, the crushing hell, the black rope hell, Punarjīvita (Sanskrit Devanagari: पुनर्जीवित, Sanskrit Romanization: punarjīvita, Literal Chinese meaning: Rebirth) and the uninterrupted hell, etc., are separated by four thousand yojanas each. In the extremely hot hell, there are three kinds of suffering: the suffering of burning wood, the suffering of the iron cauldron, and the suffering of the clay pot. In the hot hell, there are four kinds of suffering: pits, iron, pouring, and cooking. In the great wailing hell, there are three kinds of suffering: Shalmali mountain, distant Achu river. In the small wailing hell, there are five kinds of suffering: stakes, distance, carts, armor, and armor mountain. In the crushing hell, there are eight kinds of suffering: high ground, vulva, forest, valley, power, holding, action, and mountain. In the black rope hell, there are nine kinds of suffering: swords, necklaces, razors, nails, short spears, mallets, axes, and the sucking of saws. In the uninterrupted hell, there are three kinds of suffering: skinning, nostrils, beasts devouring, and great fires burning in the lungs and heart. The eight cold hells are measured twenty thousand yojanas north from Punarjīvita (Sanskrit Devanagari: पुनर्जीवित, Sanskrit Romanization: punarjīvita, Literal Chinese meaning: Rebirth) hell. There are the blister hell, the blister bursting hell, the chattering teeth hell, the kyi hud hell, the achu hell, the cracking like a blue lotus hell, the great cracking hell, and the great cracking like a red lotus hell. They are separated by two hundred yojanas each. In the blister hell, there are three kinds of suffering: cold, blisters, and severance. In the blister bursting hell, there are four kinds of suffering: cracking, pus, wounds, and pus flowing. In the chattering teeth hell, there are five kinds of suffering: inability to speak, chattering teeth, stiffness, numbness, and trembling limbs. In the kyi hud hell, there are three kinds of suffering: cold body, weary mind, and wailing in the mouth.
