Saying that one should not give alms is to know that this is a shameful statement due to a lack of learning. Moreover, Lord Dagpo also said, "If it seems easy to accumulate wealth for livelihood, then do it." Lord Dusum Khyenpa also said, "Even for meditation, one needs to eat one's fill." It is also said that Lord Milarepa was offered venison, which he made into meatballs and ate, thereby increasing his strength for meditation. In this regard, in the Indian language, it is: Ārya Jambhala Jalendra Ye (Sanskrit Devanagari: आर्य जम्भल जलेंद्र ये, Sanskrit Romanization: ārya jambhala jalendra ye, literal Chinese meaning: Holy One, Holder of Jewels, Water God). In Tibetan, it is called: Holy Holder of Jewels Water God, which is generally a common name for the Holder of Jewels. The Holder of Jewels is the self-nature of the generosity paramita of all Buddhas, and in order to accumulate merit for sentient beings, it manifests as a form body. For example, the Great Mother Prajnaparamita is emptiness in nature, without shape or color, but in order to accumulate merit for sentient beings, the Great Mother Prajnaparamita appears as golden, white, Vajravarahi, and other forms, and the meaning of this should be understood. If someone asks, how can the generosity paramita of the Buddhas manifest as the form of a deity? In the mandala of Namgyalma and others, the ten paramitas have also been explained as ten goddesses, and they have been arranged in the mandala, and one should generate certainty about this. However, in terms of lineage and body color, etc., in accordance with the common saying, the black Jambhala is Vajrasattva, the yellow Jambhala is Ratnasambhava, the red Jambhala is an emanation of Amitabha, and the white Jambhala is Avalokiteshvara. Such a nature, its manifestation lineage is that the father is Vaishravana, and there are about a thousand sons, but it is not complete, because all the sons are different, and they are called Independent. One of them is a Rakshasi who protects the directions, named Universal Victory, riding on a human. The three most supreme sons are the yellow and black Jambhalas, and the supreme dancer, and there are many stories about these three. Among them, the son of Vasudhara is the yellow Jambhala, and the son born to the Naga King Delight's daughter Padma Tsugpudma in the form of a mongoose is the black Jambhala, and there are many such stories and legends. But in reality, the yellow and black Jambhalas, their mind essence is the same. Therefore, summarizing the body, speech, mind, qualities, activities, and lineage of this same essence, the white, yellow, red, green, variegated, etc. forms of Jambhala appear. This is about the realization of obstacles, places, and independence.

In the explanation of the Mandala of Jibhala in the "Jöd," it is said that the wealth deity is silver in color, and in the biography of Karma Pakshi, it is mentioned that he was born as the son of a Yaksha king in Changlochan. These undoubtedly refer to White Jambhala. Moreover, this is not limited to mere visions, as even in the terma (treasure teachings) of clairvoyant monks, White Jambhala riding a dragon appears in the retinue of Minister Zhang, suggesting its presence in some Nyingma tantras. In the golden images of wealth deities, the term Arya Jambhala refers to these wisdom deities. The Jambhala of the Eight Classes (of gods and demons) associated with the sun and moon seems to indicate that there are also Eight Classes who have attained the lineage of Jambhala. Jambhala, Mahakala, and Remati are general names, and it is certain that they are all one and the same. When Pandit Dipamkara Shrijnana came from the vicinity of the eastern Mount Potala, it is said that a person was starving to death. The Pandit asked what was wrong, and the person said he was starving to death. The Pandit felt great compassion and thought that if he went to the village to beg for alms, the person would die there. So he thought, 'I will cut off my own flesh and give it to him.' He took a razor from his begging bowl, cut off his flesh, and gave it to the person, but the person said he would not eat human flesh and refused to eat. The Pandit said, 'Eat it, and perhaps it will save a life.' Then he said he would go to the city to beg for alms. The person said that he generally did not eat human flesh, and even less so the flesh of a religious person, so he refused. Thinking of all sentient beings who have not seen the noble truths dying from suffering, and that he himself was born and had no control over death, Atisha thought of the person and the suffering of beings dying from hunger, and said, 'My heart is breaking.' Then he faced Mount Potala and wept. At that moment, the earth shook, and a great sound came from the sky. He opened his eyes and saw Avalokiteshvara appearing on a full moon seat, asking what was wrong. He explained in detail about the person who was starving to death. Avalokiteshvara shed tears, and from his left appeared Jomo Tara, and from his right appeared the five White Jambhalas. Seeing a white light in the sky in front of him, Atisha's great compassion arose, and he was very pleased.
