For the sake of accomplishing all deities through one deity and one mantra. For the sake of accomplishing all deities through one deity and one mantra. (Kha) To perfect all yidams, the practice of the Ocean of Conquerors, which is the general practice of the tantras, is the teaching of essential heart-words, the essence of all sutras and tantras, and is taught in conjunction with one's own experience. Namo Guru Lokeshvaraya! The Lama and Yidam are inseparable and one. May the compassion of the Ocean of Conquerors look upon this! As I think, so should all who have faith in me, Think in this way and practice in this way. From beginningless time, not knowing one's own nature, one is deluded, Having accumulated bad karma, one wanders in endless samsara. Although countless Buddhas of the past have come, They are of no benefit to oneself, like a north-facing cave. Birth, old age, sickness, and death are like ripples of water, Like a great crime cast in iron with no time for liberation. Although one accumulates some merit and resources in the meantime, Without knowing how to dedicate, the fruit ripens and is exhausted. Taking the three lower realms as one's permanent home, If one does not generate renunciation from the depths of one's heart, My mind, by which old demon is it deceived? The result of keeping pure morality in the past life, Although one has now obtained a pure human body, But encountering the evil degenerate age, obstacles rage. Short life, many diseases, many internal and external harms, Without practicing single-pointedly in this, Being distracted for the sake of the affairs of this life, My body is covered by a thick layer of ignorance. Seeing the upper die, the lower die, the young die, and so on, But when one will die, there is no certainty, Still laying out many worldly affairs, Which ghost has entered my heart? If one falls ill today and one's breath leaves tomorrow evening, What kind of fearlessness do you have? Going to a strange land, unfamiliar and empty-handed, At that time, will there be a guide and roasted barley flour? Where to go, is there a definite destination? In the court of Yama, the accountant of karma, Have you done deeds without shame, think about it. Since the ripening of karma cannot be reversed by anyone, If it is said that even a small downfall leads to the lower realms, If downfall is said like that, what need is there to mention other sins? The suffering of the lower realms has been written to the end.

If merely hearing makes you weary, then how can you endure when you actually practice? Thinking about this, without fearing the consequences of karma, is my mind not too crazy? From beginningless time, having taken countless bodies, there is no sentient being who has not been one's own mother. The number of such beings, even if counted, cannot be exhausted, it is limitless, yet one harbors resentment towards enemies. One becomes weary of some shameless and brazen people. Relatives, friends, companions, are like guests at a market, soon they will separate, and will not be seen again, as the nature of samsara cannot be reversed by anyone. The sorrow of friends, the mourning of death, and the fights in life, the arguments between you and me, which demon has disturbed your mind? Now, like a lamp about to die, it is clear, the time when Shakyamuni's teachings are declining has arrived. Virtuous spiritual friends are like bright moons and stars, monks and nuns are like gardens full of flowers. All are followers of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, without generating pure perception and devotion towards all, hiding one's own faults like a pile of poison in one's heart, pointing fingers at others' faults, even as small as a horse's tail. Engaging in empty talk, blindly following, accumulating negative karma. If my heart has entered into non-Buddhist paths, then trying to define the limits of knowledge and subtle qualities is like measuring the sky with one's hand. Many past panditas have not been able to define the limits. With short life, ignorant wisdom, and laziness, if someone like me tries to define the limits of qualities, it is like a butterfly trying to find the end of the sky. For me, a person with great arrogance, if I have not fully understood, then I must understand in any way possible. Even with much intelligence and knowledge, it is like the stars, not benefiting oneself or others, and interrupting virtuous deeds. Therefore, if one practices the essential instructions, at least one will not regret at the time of death. The new Kadampa teachings are the pinnacle of wisdom. Although known as a translator, he was actually a pandita. The great translator Rinchen Zangpo, in his four-story residence, constructed the mandalas of the four classes of tantras separately. Each day, he practiced each one in four sessions. At that time, Jowo Je, the crown jewel of five hundred panditas, was displeased and said, "Translator, you have become rotten." He condensed everything into one and gave instructions. Through practice, he attained the rainbow body and went to the realm of the dakinis. All-seeing Orgyen Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) said: "Accomplishing one Buddha is equivalent to accomplishing everything."
