Thinking that meditation is impossible, it is difficult to settle down, and great fluctuations arise, and great devotion, pure appearances, and compassion increase. Thus it is said. Gyalwang Chöje said: Here, the "one-pointedness of one-pointedness" is to abide in one-pointedness in the state of pacifying discursive thoughts. The freedom from elaboration of one-pointedness is not to fixate on the elaboration of characteristics from the perspective of that abiding. The "one taste" of one-pointedness is the non-conceptualization and the appearance of bliss and clarity, where the three—the bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality of experience—are blended into one taste. The "no meditation" of one-pointedness is when stability is attained in that, and it continues day and night. Thus it is said. Therefore, in this Dharma session, it is permissible not to say so much for the time being. According to this system, this one-pointedness is mainly calm abiding, but it is not merely calm abiding alone. If it is not connected to the union of calm abiding and insight, it is not considered one of the four yogas. In the common practice of the Kagyu lineage, such as Zurmang Kagyu, only this much is introduced, and then they are allowed to practice without distinguishing boundaries. Even if boundaries are distinguished, it is difficult to distinguish whether one understands or not. All faults arise from the time of calm abiding; once insight is realized, there are no faults. By grasping the key point of one-pointedness, one grasps the path of Mahamudra. Therefore, it is sufficient to cultivate it without abandoning it; there is no need for further extraction; devotion and prayer alone are sufficient. There is no need to question or modify anything with others. By praying with intense devotion, merging with the lama himself, and looking at the mind, whatever thoughts arise have no obstacles or faults. Therefore, there is no need for introduction. All paths and grounds arise from the power of devotion, and progressing through experience and realization is the devotion Mahamudra that Vajravarahi gave to Götsangpa. Finished! Finished!!
